Im not that far into the game yet, do you get a book or something later on which tells you what you can combine ?

A few to start with.

% = SUCCESS RATE

1. herb + blue shroom = POTION. 95%
2. potion + honey = MEGA POTION. 90%
22.raw meat + toadstool = POISONED MEAT 90%
37.spider web + ivy = NET. 90%
38.net trap + trap tool +PITFALL TRAP. 65%
39.worm + yumbug =TUNA BAIT. 95%
40.cricket + bughopper = ARROWANA BAIT. 95%
60.huskberry + needleberry =NORMAL S Lv2. 95%
74.huskberry + fire herb = FLAMING S. 90%
78.huskberry + herb = RECOV S Lv1. 90%

All i got so far.

GREAT GAME!!! Takes alot of time to get going, VERRY adictive :D

I have seen another one from there which tells you what you get from all the elders, but i dont fancy reading through them all to find it.:p (But there is one among them if you want to look).

From the Mining Locations FAQ by Tidus 4:15

You can also get some of these ores by trading item's to the swamp

i did try xlink with the wifimax but apparently

cause you don't actually "see" them till you join a quest with them

oh, that sucks for me....
i use wifi to get on line, so...
i'm gonna either have to buy another card
or use this ridiculously complicated set up to use X-Link...

and defeated basarios by myself!

to see people in the hall you need to have a quest activated and on the "Message Board" then the other players have to sign on to the quest

as well, you need to make sure you're all on the same WiFi channel
had that problem before, I was channel 1 and my buddy was on Auto

i just killed my first azure rathalos yesterday!

I just finished killing off a Gravios then I wiped the floor with the Black Gravios. I'm a gunner, which is the best class to fight Basarios/Gravios/Black Gravios cause you don't need to be close to them. Grav and Blk Grav are weak to Ice shots, so it makes it easier to kill them quickly. The great thing is, all I'm using is an Arbelest+! It also helps that I'm wearing FULL Basarois gear(for gunner). All you need to do is mod the Arbalest+ to 5 and attatch the long barrel to increase accuracy and shot velocity. The full Basarios helps deaden the blows from alot of wyverns cause of the Defense Skill(gives a +10 defense). Just to let you guyz/gurlz(maybe?) know, I have 120+ hours and only most of the Elder Quests done. I also have 3 EX-Rusted weapons that boast great attack power and durability(and are cheap to make!). I have also killed Azure Rathlos, Rathalos, Pink Rathian, Rathian, Yian Garuga, Blue Yian Kut Ku, Yian Kut Ku, Gypceros, Khezu, and Cephadrome. I havn't killed a Monoblos, White Monoblos, Diablos, Black Diablos, Gold Rathian, Silver Rathalos, Lao Shan Lung, Ashen Lao Shen Lung, or Fatalis. Anyone killed any of the ones I havn't?

I have!!! I'm an HR-5 with auroros-mai helm and torso(Lao-shan armor), Garuga Vambs, Rathalos soul coil, and dark metal boots S. ANYWAY....I have killed the monoblos, whitemonoblos, diablos, silver rathalos, Lao-shan lung(well I havn't KILLED one), and I'm working on the fatalis... If you want my in-game help ur gonna have to tell me how to play online with u cuz i dont no how...;)

I now have killed everything but Lao and Fatalis. Still chillin with the Full Basarious tho. I use other stuff when I use GS.Almost all the Elder Quests done, HR-2 now, and randum other stoof not needing to post.

Well... my title basically explains it but today i killed my first fatalis and it was AWESOME!!! I got soooo many items from it! The fatalis was a real pain in the ass tho...O and i did have some help from my friend that lives up my block :cool: :cool: :D :cool: :eek: :cool:

I'm currently using the Ancient Sword. It's ATP is like 856, or sumpin like that. I also like using the Kirin Thundersword(I think thats wut its called).

full basarios is really good against big wyverns(and rocks) like gravios
they hardly do any damage, or maybe thats just because i got full basarios U
and my gun is gravios roar....
