One question:
Is there a possibility to find out what drive is installed by looking at the s/n or so?

Fanni, dont get your hopes up for the Team Xecuter connection kit.
Aparently its only for powering the drive from your PC, not actually transfering data. We still need SATA for that.

Does anyone here know of a -WORKING- PCI SATA adapter that fully detects/reads/writes the TS DVD Drive?
(not one with the common Sil3112/3114/3512 chipset, as they wont work)

Unfortunately I have a shitty old motherboard with no SATA and I'm having a hard time here finding a retailer that sells such a PCI SATA adapter.
The only place that points me in the right direction so far is this thread HERE (http://www.xboxhacker.net/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=33&topic=794.0) and HERE (http://www.xboxhacker.net/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=33&topic=670.0) at Xboxhacker.net

According to a couple of users at Xboxhacker.net,this ATA PCI adapter at newegg.com (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16815124022) works... but I'm not quite sure if they also ship to where I live (Netherlands, Europe)

Anyone know of any other solutions?

yeah found out that this may not fix my problem :(
So i've ordered a new motherboard instead :D

Can you do this disk copying with a laptop? probaby with an external hard drive but can I do the firmware mod with my laptop? Or I must have a desktop computer?
