Daxter UMD on 1.5?

I got Daxter umd as a gift and my psp is runing on 1.5 firmware, is it possible to play it cause it asks me do upgrade the fimware and everyone says that is no good updating the firmware, I found something about genesis launcher, how does it works???

Genesis UMD Launcher llows you to play games that require 2.0+ on a 1.5
Its only a fairly recent 'discovery' and so not all games work. Im not entirely sure if Daxter works yet though. I wouldnt recommend attempting to run Daxter until you have hardcore evidence that it works, as it could brick your PSP ( i think.. ) So you could try google or wait til somebody else provides your answer.

genesis loader wont help with daxtar, theoretically it wont help with anything really but daxtar especially because the prx are 2.6 and runumd can't decrypt them. I'm in the same shoes as you with a daxtar umd unfortunately theres no way to play it at the moment without ripping it to ms
