i have just pulled out a 40gb western digital hard drive from one of my old computers. i erased everything on it, and i need to know what software, or files i have to put on it to get my ps2 to recognize it. i downloaded hd loader off of the internet as an iso image file. If i were to burn that to a dvd would my ps2 recognize it??

only if your PS2 is modded or swapmagic
and then don't forget to set te jumper to master
i spent days trying to make it work and al i needed to do was set the jumper to master
hope it helped;)
and if not say so

u need to look on your HD to see which pins u need to put the jumper on
there is a retail one
but look for HDLoader 0.7c fully patched that one is free (its no piracy)
just look for that iso and burn it on a dvd
if u don't get it go 2 :www.ps2hd.com for al your questionsabout hd and compatabilaty

p.s u need modded or swap for the patched version

Also, generally western digitals do not physically fit in the ps2 hdd bay, so make sure that yours does and that it will plug into the net adaptor.
