Team Xecuter: Site Downtime, Frmware and HD Adapter W.I.P Update

Team Xecuter's site was reportedly hack last week and they are doing their best to get it all back up online. They state they have no Xbox 360 hack updates, they have no means to get into this and will rely on third parties. They will only design the tools to make connectivity easier, they have also released a picture of a cheap Xbox 360 HD connection.


The Xecuter site was hacked last week and our server was severely messed up. We are doing our best to get back online as soon as possible.

There are no 360 Hack updates. As we are not getting involved in any kind of actual illegal dvd firmware hack, we are relying on other parties just like anyone else, and we have received no updates on this for a while.
Due to the fact that the hack promotes piracy only, we have no inclination to develop any hack - only to design tools that will make connectivity easier.

...so Team Xecuter's statement of people wanting to hack their 360 drive, and will be doing so with the help of them was a load of crock - as they only wanted to market tools that arn't even really necessary to hack the drive.

What I read from this is 2 things, first they are in this for the money, they never were interested in providing this "free" tool to the community. And second it sounds like they were not able to reproduce the Hack, otherwise why would they be saying its coming real soon, if you read all their forums they gave updates like if hey were almost ready and all of a sudden they have never been interested from the beginning?

So originally they said they were releasing 'something' to read, patch and write the firmware that will be completely plug and play and the tool of choice. Now not really anything at all. Dont think we'll be seeing this so called hack for a long, long time.

Nice !! Back to the beggining ... now there is nothing to do beside buy the original's , now i even dont know if i buy and make updates , and then it comes some exploit .. oh well !! i'm going nuts with 360 :( but it's normal :mad:

Well, if there's no hack by the time ps3 arrives, im switching. Rather pay £50 for a blu-ray disk than £50 for a dvd. I didn't own an original xbox so thought this one would be along the same lines in terms of wicked homebrew etc. Guess i was wrong.

I fail to see how paying £50 for the same game on different disc formats makes any sort of difference.

And how is a DVD drive firmware hack going to allow for "wicked homebrew" off the bat? Maybe after a long while when an exploit is found in a game by modifying unsigned files, but if you're hoping for more I hate to be the one to tell you...

If you really think games for the ps3 are gonna cost the same as the 360 you're nuts. The blu ray media costs a lot more than dvd media and you and me will pay the price difference, not sony or the developers. Expect ps3 games to cost $75 minimum.

I'd say PS3 games to cost $69.99 maximum, in a market where Xbox 360 has got titles like topsipin 2 and the highest at $59.99. Nintendo are also pledging to be low cost etc.

Perhaps they will exploit the power of the playstation and brand loyalty, but I don't they will as there are alternatives out there :).

Price would have no doubt been considered and even Sony will no make games available for so much regardless of how much the media is, they made the choice to use that medium and will absorb the majority of the costs i assume.

I realise that the hack wont allow unsigned code to be run straight away. But i do know that any hack will inevitably lead to other things as is always the case. I was always fascinated at the way the original xbox went in the homebrew world, but just never got around to owning one myself. I also cant believe that Sony would would charge 30% more for their games than M$ even if they are using a more expensive to produce format. Surely they could'nt compete. The reason i say i would switch is purely because if i HAVE to pay extortionate prices for a game(as opposed to downloading first, liking the game and then paying), then i would rather pay for one which will have better graphics, more power, etc. This is just my way, if i have to pay the same price, i'll go with power, whereas someone else may go for gameplay etc. Each to their own.
