i got ps2 from walmart today and its 75001 CB US/CA and i want to mod it with crystal light 1.1 chip so do i need the laser fix for it and which version do i have??

on crystal web it says ps2 v14 only, so i think i have v16 or 15 and they dont have it on there site:mad:

You will not need a laser fix, as $ony has fixed that problem as of v13. as for installation, the numbers on the crystal chip website are on the PS2's motherboard. If you open up the PS2, look for the number shown on the chip site, then download the installation diagrams. i.e.: if you open up your PS2, and you see "GH-040-5x" (x being a various number), the you would download the diagram for that number.

yeah its V14 GH-037-12 but there is no power in the ps2 after when i finished installing the chip im sure i didnt break the reset button and im sure my soldering was good because its not the first time i mod a ps2 did this happin to anyone??
