I just a brand new ps2 slim at walmart and I have swapmagic 3.6 and I don't need any tools at all nor do I have to open the case of the ps2, I just roll 2 small toilet paper to put 1 at the disc break and one on the bottom right corner of the disc tray, it's model 79001, this model doesn't have a sensor inside, that's cool as hell.

What's important to know is that Swap Magic will not work on its own, meaning you'll require something like the Slide Card for all PS2 versions up to V11, and Slim Tool Pro/Magic Keys for V12-16 (Keep in mind that earlier versions of Slim Tool Pro only works for V12 PS2s, Slim Tool Pro V3 can work for V13+ but most stick with Magic Keys II). Magic Keys II is usually what many people go for if they have V13-16, but it works for V12 as well.
