Phoenix Bios Loader Questions

Can the Phoenix Bios Loader be ran from a dvd or cdrw ? i have a freind that has the enigma chip in his machine and i dont want to take it out but i was try to find a another way of running a diffrent bios for him so he can enjoy some of the homebrew things like xbmp and emulators. so far i can get it to load but i dont think that i'm doing it right cause when i get select a bios it just reboots. if some one could help me this would be great.

You can run it from anywhere
If your wanting it to boot before the game rename it's xbe to default.xbe and the games to say game.xbe then take the bios (BFM) you want to use into xbtool and set the boot partitions and info 'DVD' setting to game.xbe insetead of default.xbe, if you set it up correctly you won't even see the program kick in (just a black screen for a few secs longer than usual)

EDIT sorry to be dumb but can you not flash that modchip under evox?

from what i have read abot that chip it basic the chip is not flashable. it is the 29 wires chip but if it can that would be great also. from what i read you are saying that i can boot the PBL from a cdrw ?
