Im currently using HD Advance 3 with my ps2 and starting to get frustrated with a couple backups not loading from my hard drive(socom 3 and shadow of the colossus).

Ive installed a solderless modchip in my xbox and love it! And I would like to get the same backup solution for my ps2. Any suggestions? The less soldering the better...

Any advice is appreciated, thanks for reading my post.

Sadly if you go solderless with the PS2 you will be even more disappointed. I will just say one thing, stay away from the DMS EZ solderless chip, at the best you will fry your PS2. I would go with a Matrix infinity or a crystal chip 1.1. 18-20 wires to solder. you must have a soldering friend, or a local installer.

ghost2 is the most reliable easiest to install and should be your number 1 choice in ps2 mods

I must say as response to the claim taht the DMS4 EZI Pro is bad, I just installed mine completely hassle-free today. Works like a charm.

yeah...I wondered how founded these claims were about the DMS4 EZI Pro being bad. So after doing some reading on other forums, my conclusion is that the same risk in envolved with all modchips. I remember reading the same "stories" about the xenium ice soldeless chip for my xbox. Which had some minor issues, but once I got it going...it works just fine.
