I was copying a Audio CD that i made and it was letting me copy the cd then it said like while you are waitng you can edit ur song title and stuff. So in the middle of changing the song the 360 froze.

I turned it off then back on and the three red lights flash.

if you know how to fix it plz tell me. if not its ok because im getting a new 3-6-0 for free but i will like the stuff that i had on the HDD.

Thx

unplug all the cables. Then plug it all back in. Also remove the hard disk and boot the 360, then turn it off and put the hard disk back on. If that doesnt work u can ring ms and then will send u out a box and u can have them fix it for free.

Mate,

once you have done the above make sure you set the clock, because your xbox360 has crashed it also has lost the time...

if you do not re-set the clock you will have problems playing games on it and it will keep crashing...

check it mate....

good luck

mate,

when it happened to me i had to wait for 12hrs for it to re-set itself...

so i left it overnight and removed all the items listed above and connected it all back up again and it booted.

i had to them go into the dash and set the clock because the machine has re-set its self back to factory settings...

how long has yours been unplugged mate, and check to make sure all the cables and the harddrive is connected properly...

99% of the xbox 360's out there have had some problem. Wether it crash's, hard drive corrupts, eats a dvd, frags for no apparent reson or the power suply over heats somethin allways seems to go wrong. Even with all the bugs it has, alot of people would kill to have one. So be hapy you have one.:)

Obviously Mrecko does not own a 360 and has never even played one. No its not a common problem, the 360's defect rate is actually lower than the average for consumer electronics. I have had it since launch and have not had any problems with it.

well the failure rate is 3%, which is pretty low, so the 99% has problems is the stupidist figure I have ever seen lol. 97% are problem free lol.

Ok mabee 99% is a stupid thing to say. But my 360 has crashed several times. Not to mention I was at a ebgames and there 360 kiosk crashed playing COD 2. I have never had any major problems with my xbox I love it and I don't mean to trash talk it but it does have alot of minor problems.
The 360 rarley have sirius problems like RnS_NeGaTiVe is having.Like OblivionX seid failure rate is 3%. but if your not carefull all kinds of crap can happen like if you leave the power suply in an area ware it cant get cool air you could damage it or if you move your xbox with a disc in the drive youll end up with damaged discs. The 360 is definetly not idiot proof.

lol i agree with not idiot proof. But if your stupid enough to try to move ur console with a disc in u deserve it lol. I mean u wudnt move ur pc with a disc in. I never moved my ps2 with a disc in.

ive had my 360 since launch and although i dont play it everyday, i do play it for hours at a time and there hasnt be a single glitch, hiccup or error. 99% of the systems with errors, thats a grim percent rate considering about 5 people here alone just said they've had not a single problem. Infact compared to other system launches the 360 seems to be pretty good for errors, people are just overreacting because its either not the system of choice or looking at the brighter side of not being able to find one

I heard it are mostly the october-november versions that have problems. Had an xbox360 made in november, after playing it for a month without problems, it just crashed, and gave me the same red rings. Just return it to the store, you will get a new one in around 10 work days ;)

well i'm sure it is much more than the 3%, I will go with a close to 55% of console have problems... maybe more. We bought on launch 4 systems and 3 of them have crashing and the three light of dead problems. If you look at the xbox forums many people have already return their consoles even 3 times and continue to recieve consoles with problems. With these heat problems you usually will see a much higher percentage of failure with time, because of the stress problems heat represent. I just returned mine today, hoping to recieve it back before ghost recon release:)

NFSMW is a great game... the type of racing I like.. are you just playing online or the career mode as well?? There is a blacklist with 15 racers that you need to beat on career mode.. :)

lol your just unlucky i think, 55% is far 2 high, since I know therz 1000s of ppl on the net having no problems at all, and I have 10 friends who have bought 1 and not had a single problem. Although I hear lots of the heat problems wer caused by the american power supply and all my friends are in the uk.

Yeah it does sound like the power supply is the real problem. when you read the recommendations is always about not placing the power supply on a sofa or constraining the air flow to it.

My dads friend at work has an 360 and he got it without the HDD and the wireless controllers and has no problems and i got the 360 with the stuff.

So im gonna get a 360 without that stuff and see what haapends and if everthing goes good in about a week we should hook up LIVE.

02-10-2006, 01:20 PM
:D HAHAHA... seriously folks, stop throwing around self-inspired percentages. Everyone is forgetting one major point... only bad news makes the news.
So obviously most posts that people submit about their consoles are going to post something that would be a complaint. Not to mention that this forum doesn't make up the entire population of people that actually own a 360. Nor any other forum. Nor all the forums combined.

I was just checking on M$ forum and it seems that whatever they are doing to fix the consoles is causing another problem... it seems that the people recieving the consoles can't connect to LIVE..hehehe. they just called support and already confirm the problem... this is going to be a wild ride!!!

RnS_NeGaTiVe
02-10-2006, 03:37 PM
ya that was another problem lol.

i dont know what MS is trying to do but they need to fix what they did wrong
