hmmmmm isnt the tsop removable and actually blank. Cuz i seen a video with the tsop removed and the console worked without it, the guy also said some 360s dont come with a tsop at all.

ah yes ur right. Always get those 2 mixed up, was never big on the different types of original xbox mods to do with these chips, I just softmodded it and was on my way lol.

WOW, the 360 BiOS, YAY. sure, send it to me, or better yet i can fly over in my space ship with warp drive and inertia dampeners and ill just beam it up, then we can warp to the mars and hack away at the 360 all night!!! also i heard if you put the 360 bios in your space ships computer you make make the top speed warp 15 instead of just slow old warp 10, man i cant wait!!!

Lets start talking business here...

A Bios is a Basic Input Output System! It does what it says handles some of the most basic functions for the system ...

TSOP describes the packaging of a chip... It stands for Thin Square Outline Package!!! There can be many tsops on one board and not a one of them have to be the bios !!!

And as far as the current xbox360 hack well it is a weak hack it attacks the easiest point of attack the CD drive firmware! This has nothing to do with modification of the bios you will not see much come of the xbox360 without a bios hack. Eg. Modchip or flashing of the bios...

Please pass this information along the public is very confused I see it everywhere on every board everyone thinks this firmware is the same thing as the xbox when in actuality all they are doing is modifying the CD Drive firmware so that it spits out the proper information when a response is requested.

Example:
Slap in a copied game backup.
Console says " Is this CD a real XBOX CD? "
Under normal circumstances it does a check and returns with the message:
CD drive says " Nope this is a copy! "
Then the console does not play it.

But lets say you have the modified drive firmware ...
Console says " Is this CD a real XBOX CD? "
Hacked firmware would recognize this question right away and respond with a hard coded message built into the firmware.
Hacked drive says " I know this question let me respond with a lie sure its a real XBOX CD you stupid XBOX..."

Rather limited on what this will allow you to do if you get what I mean.

But with a little ingenuity it may prove useful... Example when drive is polled you may be able to setup a buffer overflow with a hard coded response to first spit out bytes from the bios unencrypted and once you had enough of the bios so you could hook into it with a single line of code you could begin dumping and writing to it rather easily once you knew the proper bits to set and the crypto used it would turn into a one size fits all hack and homebrew would be brewin once again! muah!
