If I send my PSP with 1.5 firmware to Sony Repair, will they send it back to me with updated firmware?

Dont it reset back to origonal fw version if they happen to reset the PSP ?

You could write a note saying you dont want the fw updating as you dont want your son to be able to use it on the internet :confused:

they would check the version after the parts are replaced. also if you change the version number they will know that you used homebrew, thus voiding your warranty
