put the stick in your psp.
go to system settings and format memory stick.
connect the usb cable and enable the usb connection.
extract umd emulator.
put the umdemulator folder in the root of your memory stick, thats the first page that shows up, also create a folder named iso.
then copy the folder named psp and when it asks you if you want to ovewrite just say yes to all.
then put your iso in the iso folder you created.
disconnect usb.
goto game on your psp , there should be umdemu there and a corrupt data icon, click on the umd emu icon, and it will start.

Hi,

I'm also new to this and have tried exactly as you said above with a Jap PSP on 1.5 with Fifa2006 and Burnout Legends.

Neither of them load, the emulator screen just locks up and I have to power off to reset my PSP.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
Do I need an original UMD in the slot at the same time??

Thanks

nope

you need an original umd or try devhook 0.22, that loads games without a umd.

devhook is a bit more limited than umd emulator but you can use them in tandem you can load a game in umdemulator set to system menu then when you get back to the menu load devhook and fingers crossed it will load your game, this method works with a lot of games and no umd!

Thanks.

I don't seem to be able to find a working download for devhook 0.22, if anyone knows where please let me know.

Thanks

Found it.

Installed it. Ran UMD 0.8c to run Fifa2006, returned to the system menu, ran the devhook 2.2 software and it still doesn't work :(

I'm not having much luck at all...........

Its supposed to return to the system menu. If you look at the game that it thinks is inserted it will be the iso you selected, not the umd in the drive.

I got it working! :D

I can't get Fifa to work for some reason, but Burnout Legends works well.

Thanks for the advice!

The only difference in the Burnout and Fifa files is that the Burnout files came with a menu BMP file and another file as well as the ISO file.

Fifa is just a ISO file on it's own with no other files. Does that sound like the problem?

Thanks

I got Fifa working too now.

Seemed to be a problem with a missing file in one of the folders, replacing this made it all work fine. :D

Thanks for the help everyone!
