I'm having this problem with my PSP now. My square button wont come back up unless I pound the **** out of it.
Anyone fixed this themselves? Just trim the flash?
All i can think is maybe taking it apart and cleaning it? just keep it clean, its a dust magnet in there!

He's right. Open it up and clean the hell out of it. And everything else while its open. Unless you happen to have some kind of warranty with it. But I would jus topen it if its a 1.5.

It's a design issue due to the square button overlaying on the screen. You could open the unit up and shave the inside of the square button to make it look more like the redesigned ceramic internals.
Click here (http://ceramicpsp.com/button.htm) for some internal ceramic shots for reference.

"Sony has agreed to repair any of its PSP handhelds returned with a faulty square button. Until now the company had been bullish, claiming the stuck-in PSP button was part of the design. The flaw has also been fixed completely for the PSP's launch in the US and Europe."
That was last February. So, this will only apply to Japanese PSPs?
Who would beleive that a sticky button was intentionaly part of the PSPs design?

Hmm....As far as I know the part about the fixed flaw is total bull. They only modded the square button on the ceramic and I've yet to see a black console with the new style buttons in it.
