I'm using Swap Magic 3.8 on a slim (correction, it's a v12) PS2 with the tape and tissue mod. When I did the mod and tried the DVD everything worked as it should, but now for some reason after only a single use, the DVD Swap Magic disc won't work. I put the disc in and it makes it past the PlayStation logo, then I get a black screen. The CD version works fine. It loads past the PlayStation logo and loads the boot menu.
I can't figure out what's happened. It worked once and now not at all. I know the DVD still works because I tried it in an older (fat) system and it booted like normal. I know there's nothing wrong with my laser because all my game DVD's run fine.
I wanted Swap Magic to avoid installing a dreaded mod chip. I can't solder for **** and I don't know anyone around my town that installs them.
