Obama: It's time to put away the Xbox

Surely President Obama is aware of the Wii and PS3 as well? In a recent speech, he characteristically stated that it's time to put away the Xbox literally. Obviously this has drawn questions as to why he didn't mention the other gaming platforms!

A few years ago, everything was a playstation, the dreamcast was a playstation, the xbox was a playstation, the gamecube was a playstation, and even further back everything was a nintendo, genesis, master system, pc-engine, etc, etc they were all called nintendos by my parents and many other adults of those days... or are we trying to imply that Obama is a sony/nintendo fanboy?

Obama is being thick headed here since most parents work 2 or 3 jobs a day to keep up all the damn taxes and bills that the administration had made on the lower income people, and soon to the middle and rich income families.

Gaming is not the main issue here but the time spent playing the games. There is no limit for a child to play when there is no parents around, so the child doesn't give a damn.
The education system in the country doesn't even have money and funding to support these kids and the next generation of kids to come. So basically the whole system is in the toilet.

Just admit it Obama, the education in America is far worse than you think.

Seriously all I hear from little kids are curse words. There is fights in class and in hallways to make the day of education to entertainment. Kids even interrupt the class with jokes and discussions of Naruto and other random stuff. Teachers have no control because they can't afford to lose their jobs.

Its madness and it is stupid to say just stop playing Xbox when it is far more to it than that.

I haven't actually listened to the speech, but from the transcription it doesn't sound like he's saying to put away the xbox indefinitely, but to use them in moderation. Last thing I'd want is for my kids to get home every day from school and play video games until well past their bedtime.

He's doing this out of genuine concern. He just doesn't want your console to red ring. The other two don't have that problem, so he didn't mention them.

Its not that its too much trouble its the fact it can't happen in new 360s, there are only two exploitable kernels and the update after blew an efuse and improved security, MS is also said to have revised the hardware to prevent timing attacks. They are still downgradable despite the efuse being blown but you need the CPU key which is now considered unobtainable. You can blame bunnie and co for showing MS how they did this.

On topic Obama should go back and focus on why he gave car manufacturers millions/billions of cash and left the fatcats that ran them into bankruptcy incharge or why he can't stick to election promises instead of trying to be every kids parent.
There's a barrier that government should stop at and this is it, there is no cure for bad parenting and no countries leader will be able to change this.
