I'm thinking of buying an xbox360, but I have some questions. Hopefully someone can answer them

- How big are the chances it has faults in it, like crashing, overheating, etc.?
- Is it worth the money?
- Which game should i get? I'm thinking of eather Perfect Dark zero or Fifa road to the world cup.

Feel free to share your experience with the 360 :)

The only time my 360 crashes is when my internet fucks up and live crashes the dash which locks up the system. Its actually a dashboard problem so its easily fixable by ms with an update so I'm not worried. My console sits in an enclosed wooden cabinet and has never overheated. Also, my psu doesn't even get slightly warm. The reports of defects are mostly unfounded and are a vocal minority. If you can wait, I'd wait until a few more good games are out like gr3 and gears of war. I only got it as a gift or else I could have waited, but now that I have it I love it :).

Also no problems here, its also sort off crashed whit xboxlive when i took out the ethernet cable whit 360 still on and conected, but i did pressed start and just returned to dash.

Altough i am not impressed yet whit most off the games(think kameo is swhowing some of 360 power),it should rock in the future.

Today on my lunch break from work I stopped by my local Wal-Mart to get some items. As I walked by the electronics area I noticed by the register a box at the floor with the top half-openned and something green and white visible. The associate as if she could help me and I asked her what by chance had they received in said box. 4 brand-new Xbox 360 core systems straight from China. She asked me if I wanted one and something took over me and I said yes, along with two games - Call of Duty 2 and Perfect Dark Zero. I wipped out my credit card and paid as I excitedly walked to the exit to my car.

Now I was not planning on getting one so soon. I usually wait until after the launch period and when finances are available.

So now my dilemma, should I open it or Ebay it and make a quick $100 profit?

That's indeed a dilemma. To be honnest, I wasn't planning on getting one this soon eather, but now that I have it i don't regret it. I played 4 houres in a row on perfect dark, it has been years ago I enjoyed a game so much. You should ask yourself the question: do I have the finances now to keep it? If yes I would keep it, if no I would sell it on ebay and make some profit ;).

Ok now I am swaying towards keeping it.
It's a core system and the first thing I read is I either need a hd or a memory card.
Being that it's Xmas today and most game stores are closed. I ran to a local Gamecrazy that happened to be open. To my surpise they had 360 accessories in stock (can't say the same for Blockbuster who doesn't have any (from what I heard BB is in fiancial troubles and will be either bought out or closed - this coming from a BB employee). Even better yet while talking to the counter staff he sold me a used hd for my 360 for $70. It can from the store's unit and hence why it was used.
So now I'm about to open my 360 out of the box, hook up the hd and see what happens.
Wish me luck!
