Wii won't recognize backups and originals?

When i want to play a game, the game doesn't load and the screen goes black, i have to pull the plug then. Does this mean the lens is broken?

What game, what system menu, what IOS's have you got installed.

A black screen can just mean a missing IOS file. install IOS 38, 53, 55.

I installed the ois files found in this link; 38 53 and 55, now virtua tennis 2009 (original buy) works, however super mario galaxy doesn't?

In wad manager, you have to choose IOS version to use, after you pick one it asks what storage device your wads are one, however my question is, what IOS version do i have to pick in the first place?

I'm pal, and the game is ntsc, like i said its with the modchip drivekey

1) check the chip settings, I know on my wiikey some games would work unless all the settings are enabled.
2) try a new dump.

just one last question, in the homebrew channel is says i'm using OIS 37, v8.22 , does this have anything to do with the wads, because i installed 38, 53 and 55

(hmm this Wads thing is pretty hard for me :o)

Wads are a container format (like zip, rar, etc.). IOS is part of the OS for the wii. Wads are used for all soughts of things such as VC/Wiiware games, to installing updates (including IOS) and even for booting (boot2 is a modified wad).
