View Full Version : Wii won't recognise back-ups

Hi

I have softmodded my mates Wii, after successfully doing mine. His version was 3.4e.

Problem is that when i put in back-ups, it won't recognise them. Everything seemed to go OK during the mod, and nothing came up unsuccessful.

It still recognises real versions, but the drive doesn't even start spinning when I put in back-ups - and i tried loads of them. They work fine in my machine.

Any ideas anyone?

Do I need to do something extra?

All help much appreciated.

Cheers

1) Are you running it through the backup launcher?
2) are they -r discs? +r discs are dodgy.

Can't run it through the back-up launcher as the drive isn't even spinning to recognise the discs.

They are all +r discs and they work fine in my wii.

Could it be possible that the drive just won't recognise +r discs in my mates wii and I should try a couple of -r ones?

Cheers for the help tech

+r media is dodgy in most wiis , try -r and see how you get on.

Exactly what he said, I tried +r with nothing working , switched to -r and presto. You could always go the root of a USB/HDD loader, they are superb.
