Microsoft has finally confirmed its acquisition of Israeli motion sensing firm 3DV systems. This is the first time MS has publicly spoken about the acquisition.

Speaking of Microsoft’s extensive R&D facilities in Israel, corporate VP Moshe Lichtman told Globes: “Fourteen development projects are taking place at the centre today, twelve of them completely new and destined to become Microsoft products in new markets.
“The R&D centre helped Microsoft in buying the intellectual property of 3DV Systems, and in the wake of that dozens of the company's employees were recruited to work at the development centre.”
