Wii Shop Channel Update?

I know there are a few other topics about this but I have 3.2U and the Wii Shop Channel says I need to update. After reading another topic on here I downloaded WiiSCU. I chose to update Wii Shop Channel only. After it was done whenever I click on the Shop channel it redirects me to the menu. Did I screw myself over by updating this channel? I hope I don't end up bricking my wii in the future because of this update that doesn't work.

I had the same problem at first. The new Shop Channel uses one or all of the IOS files that it askes you if you want to install. After I used it again and had it install all of the IOS files my Wii Shop channel worked great. I still haven't updated any of the other channels other than the Shop Channel and the IOS files haven't caused any of them to stop workin on me so far.
