Hi,

I've not switched on my Wii for about 6 months cos it was in storage while I was moving house.
I've finally dug it out and want to play a couple of games on it.I could just burn them onto Dvd's - but that would be too easy...
Since my Wii has been in hiding the Wii scene has basically exploded, and while I have been following the general ideas of whats happening - not having a Wii at hand to try stuff, I'm a little lost.

I've got a Wiikey installed
I'm on os 3.2e
Homebrew Channel Installed (not sure which version, but will update)
Twilight Hack installed (not sure which version, but will update)

What I'd like to do;
Enable a usb hdd backup loader (most compatible loader (game wise)),
Run wiiware off a SD-card

I see mention of various different backup loaders, IOS's, things like coverflow loaders, Starfall, BootMii, and I just don't know where to start.

I don't need an actual step by step guide of what to do - Just a quick reply of what I need and why would be great, then I can go off and read up on it before installing.

Thanks

you cant run wiiware from SD, they have to be installed via wad manager to the wii itself.

I suggest looking up alot of stuff at wiibrew.org

Thanks for the link - checking it now.
I thought part of the latest update (4.x) allowed you to transfer Wiiware to SD card after it had first been installed on the Wii itself...

4.0 does allow you to run wiiware from SD, but only games downloaded from the shopping channel not wads.

Also I would recommend using a special updater which keeps the system hackable, note: starfall does not support 4.0.
