Microsoft's Steve Ballmer has confirmed that anew Xbox 360 will be available in 2010. Ballmer noted the new device will come with technology that is really close to reality, have a 'natural interface' and feature a camera that can recognize movement and voice.

<blockquote>Rumors can be confirmed, as Ballmer stated openly during a speech on the recession to those in attendance at the Executives Club in Chicago, a new Xbox 360 will hit the store shelves in 2010.

The new device will be equipped with technology that is “really, really, close” to an actuality. The console, which was described as having a “natural interface,” will have a built in camera with the ability to recognize movement and voice.

We discussed this in another thread. We knew an Xbox360 bundled with Natal would happen. If Microsoft wants to build developer support they have to make sure it's priced right and reaches as many previous and new 360 owners as possible. Bundling it in helps half of the cause. I think it will be $199.99 by itself and have some kind of app packed in. The Natal can recognise 4 people at one time. So 3 wiimotes and 3 nunchuks = $180.00 (I only add up 3 since the wii already has one packed in.) I'd say that $199.99 price tag would be just right. Plus Sony and Microsoft have a leg up on Nintendo. Nintendo had to re-release special versions of Gamecube games with the wii controls, but MS and Sony can just release patches and not force gamers to buy the games all over again.
