I've done research here and on another site and it's the strangest thing because every time it feels like I'm getting closer to the answer I need, something goes in another direction in a thread and I don't get my answer.
Here's the situation:
- Wiikey 2
- Homebrew Channel installed
- CIOS rev13b
- I don't know what firmware I have on my Wii but the system menu says 4.0U, but this seems unlikely because... when I throw in Punch Out, Tiger Woods 10 on disc, the system asks me to update. If I was really on 4.0 I wouldn't be asked to update. I have usb loader gx installed and can play with that just fine, but some games won't copy properly. In those cases I need to play off discs.
Any help please, would be TREMENDOUSLY appreciated, even a link. How do I find out what version of firmware I'm running, what is the most compatible usb loader, and MORE IMPORTANTLY how do I get to firmware 4.0?? Can I do it off the disc?
