I'm using USB Loader GX. I'm able to run all my games from backup (even Punchout, which I can't run from disc without it prompting me to install some scary update) except Metroid Prime 3... Whenever I attempt to play it, the game prompts me to insert the disc and will not proceed until I insert the disc. Once I insert the disc, everything is fine. It seems weird that Metroid Prime 3 would have this protection when newer games, like Punchout, work fine.

Is there a way to disable this protection or otherwise run Metroid Prime 3 from backup?

Running GUI-FX loader with 1Tb Buffalo Drivestation. MP3 never asks for disc.

Hmmm Maybe you have a bad disk or something?

Maybe you have to update some IOS files? I don't know what you have, so it's hard to say.

After the waninkoko's Cios38 13b Metroid 3 and other games dont need a disc anymore, careful, revision 13b is still buggy with soem games in need of "Error #002".. or you use a loader that has a error#002 fix built in..

Fogot to mention that I'm running cIOS rev13a. Staying away from 13b for now, until something more stable comes around.
