I have a Wii with 4.0 firmware. I used the bannerbomb exploit to install the homebrew channel, wad manager, usb loader, and a whole bunch of wad files. I just got Punchout, and when I put the disc in, it asks me to update and warns me about how it might mess me up if I have any mods installed...

Is it safe to run the update that comes with Punchout? If not, what are my options (remove all mods, then update, then reinstall everything)?

just run it through gecko OS. either that or if you dont need any features from 4.0 or have a LU64 wii you could downgrade to 3.2 and install starfall.

So, I'm seeing in some places that you can install a trucha patched IOS60 to get Punchout to work. I tried this, but I still had the update prompt when I tried to start Punchout. Does the IOS60 make it okay to run that update? Scary stuff...

So on my friend's Wii, all the hacks I want work, AND Punch Out works, as long as I don't install cIOS36_rev10 (which is needed for the USB Loader). Is there a safe way to uninstall that, and/or another way to unlock the USB ports?
