There has been a new release of UMD Gen for the PSP. In addition to the numerous new features detailed in their previous news updates, they have also included in UMDGen v2.00 support for PSP UMD Movie Images and a built-in Firmware Version Detector (see screen capture below for examples of this). Now end-users can open -> modify -> save their compilations without the need to extract/drag-in files first, and know which FW version the title requires to run.

erm. shows two umd 'iso files that need only 1.52 or above to run as needing 2.oo or higher for their firmware version ?? so not sure about that exclusive feature...

I have to say UMD Gen 2.0 saves me alot of time with some of the new features no need to extract the iso anymore

Tried to repack Popolocrois to have movies in the third book, so I relinked the ga_logo.pmf to all movies for the first two books. In Windows, it shows the filesize as 905mb.

Now put it in UMDGen and it jumps up to 983mb. Last I checked, it was supposed to shrink by a few megabytes, not jump up almost a hundred.

Havent tried it out for anything else, but I'm definitely unimpressed.

Maybe, but I've already rebuilt the ISO using vcdromx. 903mb < 979mb
