Hi guys,

Since my last post I have the same problem, my wii works fine, I have the HBC installed and some VC games installed as well.

I think I was punished by nintendo because I have HBC installed ( someone could call this bricked ).

The Full history:

My wii is USA and I have wiikey modchip, my backup games works fine too.

last year I had the 3.2U firmware, HBC working and some VC games all working like a charm.

So I got a game ( Animal crossing ) that wasn't working due the firmware version, so to run it I should go to 3.4U.

Just after the update my SD Card Slot STOP TO WORK. I tried all SD cards I have ( Sandisk and Kingston ) without success. I am pretty sure that the SDs cards I have are ok because I was using them.

I was looking around and the solution to downgrade de firmware I need the SD card working, so can't downgrade to the 3.2U.

I red somewhere that firmware 4.0U has a lot of new features about SD card, So I did yesterday a system update to 4.0U.

Nothing changes. here are the message when a clic on the sd card icon on the main wii window ( this is new on the 4.0U):

The device inserted in the
SD Card Slot cannot be used.

In the photo channel the message is:
This card is not usable.

Sorry about the long post, but I think nintendo blocked my SD CARD SLOT.

What you guys think about it?

There is a way to stream apps over a network to the HBC. Then you can just downgrade the wii and use the network install (of course your on 4.0 so follow those guides.

However I didnt think something like this was caused by updates, are you sure it isnt a hardware issue? Try to downgrade first.

Also your console isnt Bricked, Bricked isnt when you cant do anything with it.

My HBC version is 1.1 I don't remember what happens but it looks the app in the SD card. So it is not working properly.

I will look for a network solution.
