Total Newbie...

Hi, I juz got my PSP today. Well, as you can guess i am a total newbie at this stuff.

As far as i can help my version is 1.50. I read that it can be use with homebrew with some expliots.

Lots of question i would like to ask.

What is homebrew??

How do i play backed-up games.

There is lots of technical stuff in which i do not understand at all. Hope that some kind soul can explain in layman terms to me.

Also, i read the tutorial on how to install homebrew on v1.50 but then I can't seems to find software in which he recommend. Any advice on this??

homebrew is games/apps written by ppl for the psp...to use homebrew u gotta download either kxploit or seipsptool...but i recommend seipsptool
to play backup games.. u need 1 or all 3 of these: fastloader 7, device hook 0.22, umdemulator 0.8c
they would load up ISO images that ur backed up games should formated

Alrighty..

Been trying out alot today.. But too bad it doesnt seem to work.

Ok, i did not use the SEIPSPTOOL cuz i can't seem to make it work. The EBOOT.PBP file can't work. I tried to load UMDemu and use the EBOOT also cannot.

So end up i juz copied the UMDemu into my PSP as instructed. I am now able to see the UMDemu wif my PSP but then after i copy "Breath of Fire III" ISO into my PSP i can't seems to load it.

When i run UMDemu i will get the config page with instruction as press X to start. But then i when i press X the PSP will hang awhile then auto-shutdown.

Any help would be appreciated^^

make sure you have a umd in the drive when you select the iso, and also try changing the load type to copy load or system menu.

Sorry.. noob me... anyway i copy to the wrong place therefore i cant seems to get it to work. Now its working fine. Thanks for the advice.

Got a few problem here now. Well, i got 2 games with is breath of fire III and CM. When i use umdemu, i cant get it to load no matter it is copy load, direct load or status menu. When i use devhook i can get breath of fire to work but CM will juz hang at the devhook config screen.

Can anyone help me? And also wat is the diff btw direct load, copy load and status menu.. thx in advance!!
