i'm having exactly the same problem-same msg and everything else-been reading around and apparently there is a dvd that can re-install system files-but the images i've burnt to disk just dont look like theyre working-does anyone know if these disks actually work or are they just useless ? ? i've been trying for days now and am getting a bit fed up-even dug my old 360 out and going to have a go at flashing that ! !

This has been reported occasionally.
Have you tried the following:
1. Turn WII OFF (RED Light).
2. Hold Reset and turn on WII. Continue to hold reset. You should get the Preloader menu.
3. Use Preloader to boot to Homebrew Channel.
4. Reinstall Preloader.
Morden.
