Havin Some Troubles

Hi folks, I am having a few problems with a few things that I am hoping that you can help me with. First of all, I am having a problem with being able to load the ms dashboard from the root menu.. I have used a hex editor to locate all 3 strings one at a time and each time to no avail. Now my xbox gives me a message saying Your xbox requires service when I try and load the ms dash instead of just bringing me back to the evol-x dash.

The other problem I am having is with the ability to play backed up games. If I try and play MA from a backup disc it seems to run fine except for the fact it doesn't play sound effects(but plays the music) all the time and when it spits it out sometimes it comes out choppy. If I try and play this same game from the HDD it plays fine? A second game splinter cell when I try and play it from a backup it stays at the Evol-x logo for abit and then kicks back to the dashboard. Once when I tried loading the game the screen flashed green and yellow for a second then loaded the splinter cell loading screen. When the loading bar reached the end the game and xbox just stalled. These discs both work on a friends modded xbox so I can't think of the problem. If anyone has some advice or the answer I would appreciate the info you could give me. Thanks

Did you sign the dash afterwards?

Also what exploit are you using? Font or Audio?

I was able to fix the MS dash problem last night before I went to bed. I redid the xboxdash.xbe file from scratch and it seemed to fix it. But I still have the problem with the backup dvd's. I am using the font exploit bgfont25.

To add a bit with the one backedup game MA I tried it again recently and I got sound effects and it seemed to work great then I tried splinter cell again but no luck. Then I went to make sure MA's sound would work again and no luck. And I have yet to get the sound back since that one time. I haven't changed any files or configuration since then. Thanks again.

Hmm just tried the MS dashboard again and it doesn't work again all of a sudden? Just brings me back to the evol-x dash again. I haven't changed anything from the time it last worked so I am a bit baffled. Thanks in advance for any help you can send my way.

Ok, after I rebooted the xbox I was able to get to the MS dash no problem again, but it appears that when I try to run a game and return back to the evol-x dash I am unable to enter the MS dash without first rebooting.
