SpywareGuide is currently warning of a number of Phished Xbox Live accounts which are in circulation. They have apparently come across 270 phished accounts recently and have passed on the information to Microsoft to hopefully sort out.

Today we came across a collection of approximately 270 sets of login details that have apparently been Phished via a fake XBox Live login page. The list, some 27 pages long in Word format, would allow people to access stolen XBox Live accounts, some of which may have credit card details stored against them (along with other forms of personal information, of course).

I got my account stolen. As lucky I was I have TWO accounts. Seens I`m of an accident registrated the two accounts with the same mail, it will only recover the FIRST account I ever did, and witch is less more importent for me, for some reason! How ever, I was playing with my original account and and did see my other account come online on my friendlist, I just: WTF:confused:! I changed account immediately and much right..it was taken. BUT as the smartass that stole it dident have brain enough to immediately change the live id password, I was lucky enough to quickly recover it and change password by my own. Pretty funny store tought and feeling kinda poor about how stuped that hacker must have bin:D. Anyway, everyone may not have the same luck as I had, and I hope they get theyer account solved back again! Damn hackers..

YEah it is pretty funny. Pretty funny that that the logical thinking part of your brain didnt think.
You had 2 accounts on the same email. You logged into one of them.. being as both accounts have the same login info, then if someone stole that accoutn they would have had both. Also, you signed on and he was on at the same time.. doesnt that maybe mean you signed both account in through Windows live at the same time??

Duh???
If it was a "hacker" and he stole your account... you would have been able to recover it.

As for this thing.. I dont feel sorry for them.
Most of them respoded to the Free microsoft points scam. Now... If your not able to realize this..
If MS has all your info.. ok
Then they want to give you free stuff... they give you free stuff.

Now....if they have said info... please explain to me why they would have to send you an email... to that adress they have on file.... asking you for your email and password.
Also, if your not smart enough to look in the address bar and see a different strange website its your own fault.

The only way these accounts got out was through fishing, which means YOU GAVE THEM YOUR INFO because you werent quick enough to realize you were being screwed
Stupidity, gota love it

agreed, if you get phished its your own fault, its not hard to check what you are doing online, also if you then claim you were "hacked" it makes it twice as funny.
