How to update?

Hey everyone. So, here's whats up. I modded my Wii after reading this guide, http://i.gizmodo.com/5071573/the-only-wii-homebrew-guide-you-will-ever-need, I did it just a couple days after it was posted, so early November, and I hadn't really done anything with it aside from playing some games downloaded from the Homebrew Browser. Well, I just got my first new Wii game since Brawl, the new Mario Tennis remake, and it's saying I need to update. So basically I just wanna know what I gotta do, cause I recall there being modified versions of the official firmwares to allow homebrew to work fine. So basically, if someone could just give me some directions on how to get that, and not necessary, but if you could help with how to update The Homebrew Channel to the Wiibrew channel, that would be great too. Thanks a lot.

Hey, good thread, i was curious about the same thing, I have 3.1 U, and never updated...I still want my homebrew channel to install and uninstall wads, so i am curious whats the best option here. Incoming games are all forcing update upon us! :D I dont want to stuck with a update that will force me to "downgrade" to installa dn unisntall wads.

so cant we use the 3.2 firmware with starfall installed so that it blocks the updates ? or s it not that easy anymore ?

What about custom Firmwares? Are they behaving like "updated" Firmware?
