snes/nes emulators.. any good ones?

Having issues with finding ones that will even work and let alone be able to run roms from a dvd. I download the emulator and rename it to boot.dol or boot.elf but 80% of the time it says it's not a valid application..

I love the emulators (plus the Mega Drive / Genesis and PC-Engine / TurboDuo emulators), i'm playing them more than normal Wii games.
If you want to boot roms from dvd you need to install "DVDx"

After a long time I actually found that snes one now version 9 or something with a different name? Anyways I was doing it for a friend and it's gone now but thanks. ;) I actually gave up on those emulations.. they worked and even the dvd but there was either a problem with the dvdx or the emulators have an issue with loading them from dvd. :( I only tested snes really for loading them so didn't look deeper as I was just finishing this up and sending it on it's way.

snes/dvdx issue?

load from dvd with nothing but roms.. doesn't show them all*
put them in abc order in folders.. shows them all but now wont load them past like half the alphabet??
compressed them via 7zip? with say maybe 20 in first file.. wouldnt load :\ (transfered them in the sd card on this one)

they still need work done :\ sigh* since i dont own the system anymore.. maybe you can raise these issues up with them? lol
