According to Enterbain, Star Ocean 4 on the Xbox 360 sold a massive 166,027 units during its first week on sale in Japan. As you might have expected, this is the highest domestic first week sales total for any Xbox 360 game in Japan.
Star Ocean 4 sold 166,027 units in its first week of sales, Famitsu.com reported today citing sales information from parent company Enterbrain. This is the highest domestic first week total ever for an Xbox 360 game.
The sales figure covers from the game's February 19 release date through the 22nd, the last day of Enterbrain's weekly sales tracking period. The site did not state if Star Ocean 4 took the overall top spot for the week.
In addition to having the highest first week total for the Xbox 360, Star Ocean 4 looks like it's on track to become the platform's best selling game. Currently, only two titles have sold more copies: Microsoft's own Blue Dragon at 203,740 units and Bandai Namco's Tales of Vesperia at 172,400 units.
