View Full Version : Street Fighter IV leaked online, being downloaded by many Xbox 360 pirates
Capcom's Street Fighter IV was leaked online yesterday and as you might have expected, many folks are downloading it in advance of its street date. The release notes say it is region free and the package size is 69 x 100MB files.

The amount of rar files is irrelevant to be honest as all xbox360 images are the same size after being extracted.

been on somewhere for 2 days now not that i can play it 360 is unmodded not worth the ban. is it a review copy? is the ss/pfi/dmi correct? enjoy your ban early players :p

Its always the lames and the haters hating on the mod-scene. I have several 360 and all the other systems, and if there is way it can be modded everyone should have 2 systems just to do this. WHEN IN ROME DO AS THE ROMANS DO and GET MODDED

are you sure about that, i agree that certain games should be paid for (the last being fallout 3) but i was dubious after seeing the vids, hence why i "tested" it out and i wasnt massively impressed, to be honest im glad i didnt pay for it, id rather see SF3 or alpha, or better yet a pal release of guilty gear

dude relax. not everyone that DLs games not buy the retail. if its really that good,then yes i will get the retail. i know everyone not like this.but not all "pirates" just DL and not get retail.its like a rental service in my eyes.i'll DL it see if its worth 60 bucks.if not they get no money from me.if its a classic,then hell yeah im buying it. i mean,how many times people spend 65 on a game that is utter sh*T.and how does that person feel after their purchase? robbed im sure. so as long as the games good,it will sell. cmon this is sf4,it will sell well.so dont worry too much about it. now im just waiting for my modded 360 in the mail.:p

Capcom is the king of rehashes. It's taken 5000 Street Fighter games to get to an official 4. If you've played 4, it's not so different from the other ones. It's a fun game, no doubt. At the same, it's mostly more of the same. If the gamers decide it's not worth their money, then that's just how it goes. Don't get your panties in a bunch over it. Capcom isn't going anywhere anytime soon. They've got a large enough fanbase to make Super Street Fighter IV Ultra Hyper Mega Fighting Championship Tournament Edition for years to come.

i do have to say the game is hot... but its to easy ... and the endings make no sence.. its to hyped up for nothing its just an other fighting game with a sick 3d shade....
also leaked 50 cent blood on the sand ... its pretty good
and shell shock 2... its not that good
2 weeks advance ... prolly review copies .. hope all who is dumb that went on live with those gets banned =]

thats not always true. GTA IV, SR2, Fallout 3 have been booted and played here online before release and no ban. Its trial and error for some users.
having a flashed drive regardless of whatever Ixtreme you have is "use at your own risk" and open to be detected by M$ at some point.

It passes all the checks. Only thing it can't do is the online compare against a verified image.
any game will pass the checks .. untill it gets a new file from the database.. so it can say yes its stealthed patch and lets u boot the game .. but when the retail gets out and they get the ss/and other junk it might just turn different

Well some of us have downloaded the game and plan to buy the game as well you know? Not everyone just downloads and never buys and games.
To be honest i'm not as impressed with this game as I thought I'd be, the controls are all over the place, the moving camera and zoom in and out featue is plain annoying, as is when the camera focuses on you when you to an ultra move.
The jumps are all over the place, I seem to jump over the opponant half the time other half I'm not even close to him.
Also it appears that the charactors have less moves than Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo. and you don't get the same satisfaction as you do in SF2 when a combo connects. (And don't get me started on how much they plan to charge for the alternative costumes) But i'll still be buying it, i've had it on pre-order for over four months, seems silly to cancel it now.
Also this is old news the game was available since Monday so you're off by a day Zues, and i've heard some stores in London have broken the street date.

Going tommorow to the Dutch pers event of Capcom, playing Street Fighter IV and Resident Evil 4. Mabey i will get my legal release copy home, the online servers will be up on the 20e this month when the game is official in store.

lol wow, part of me thinks why was i even excited about this game now ive played. after all it is just a beat em up, i spose with all the hype tho i was expecting something really special. all it is streetfighter ex models (yep still very squarish lol) but with 2d play. good game but nothing great, be grateful for us piraters, your gettin more reviews before u go and spend ur money lol. nah on a serious note it is ok, it just aint nothing like it was hyped to be.

That might make sense if modders weren't in the extreme minority compared to non-modders. Not sure why I would want an extra system "just to mod". Heck, I'm trying to ditch consoles, not accumulate them. Anyone want an original Xbox? I have both the (classic) big and the little (S) controllers. And (hold your breath) BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER!

Seems like the same old Street Fighter with updated cel shaded graphics. Sure there are a couple new fighters. That alone might make it worthwhile to some, but as far as my personal preference, it's nothing I haven't seen before.
I like to consider myself decent (if nothing else) with fighting games. I have 1000/1000 on Soul Calibur 4. I just cannot beat Seth (final boss) on Hard. I sat there for probably an hour swearing and drinking trying to beat his ass, but he is just too powerful. I know some are gonna criticize me for saying that, but you gotta admit he ain't easy!

I used to consider myself pretty good at SC4, since I can whup all my friends' butts (except the 1 or 2 who actually put a similar amount of time into the game as me).. I was playing online, and having reasonable success, probably like 50/50.. I expected the online competition to be stiffer, but still felt I was a contender..
Until I played this one guy.. I think I was Ivy and he was the gothy chick with the bladed hula hoop. First to three wins, and I think he got two perfects on me, and the third i only hit him once.

I don't see how this should be news. New games seem to be leaked pretty often to the pirate scene and always have been even back in to late 80s and will continue to be in the future. There is no need to promote it in the sense that you draw attention to it to the main stream public. Let them learn about such things elsewhere. There are plenty of sites that report that type of news. I don't see any reason for a general news site to report such things.
With that said I have just placed a pre-order for 50 cent blood on the sands because of the comments saying 50 cent is pretty good :). I was going to wait until the release to get more user feedback on the game but no need to now.

That's not true. Not every initial release passes the checks.

oh man you guys are making me nervous when i get my modded 360. basically if i dont play the games while onlive, im good?(well not before release dates) but once its out retail,can you just play on live and online multiplayer with no problems,or fear of getting banned? i just need to know for sure. thanks;)

Not that many more, 18 million+ ps3s vs 28 million 360s, if you listened to the fanboy viewpoint (which i replied to) 360 wouldn't sell more due to piracy and rrod, somehow it still comes out on top not that im happy about either situation.
Its about time hardware and piracy problems are solved on one hand and seemingly sales to 12 million people using consoles as movie players on the other.
Still i won't be buying this, if i did pick it up in a years time for cheap id rather be playing it on a dual shock 2 anyway.

I know someone at ebgames and snatched a copy early for me and I can tell you THIS GAME IS OVERHYPED, its not very good, its all fancy but it dosen't play very well and gets boring, Capcom Vs Snk 2 EO was so much better than this game its not even funny:(, Its so sad, I waited nearly 2 years for this games release and its not even that good, for kids who don't play much street fighter it will be nice, not all that good still but for true street fighter lovers like me, its kinda messy, the specials are WAY too easy to do, I MEAN WAY WAY TOO EASY, its FUCKING RIDICULOUS.

Seth is not that bad on 2nd form when you learn the patterens. I used Zangief on him on hardest. But I know what your saying he can be a fucker

I thought it was only PC games that are affected by piracy?
Whenever games are tri-platform, the 360 version always releases on torrent sites before the PC version, due to copy protection needing to be cracked.

IMO sf4 is more balance/better than sf2 turbo hd remix. The only thing i dislike is the guard break.

I completely agree with you. I tried it last night and I was kinda sad that it wasn't as great as how we were told. The graphics are great and all but its just another Street Fighter game and really nothing different. Everyone don't believe the hype, its another fighting game. Peace out Nigga.

the game is not "bad" but seriously, you can all consider this just another rehash. This is not the next street fighter we all hoped it to be. Capcom took many step backwards with this one. The fact they removed many moves already tells you they were aiming casual gaming with this one. It looks good but SF fans, don't expect to be THE next street fighter. This is not leap as in SF<SF2<SF3 (why include HD remix when it's JUST a remix:p ). SF4 is truly a failure if you wanted a spankin new & innovative street fighter game.

I thought it will be a great game, but it really only in 2D likes traditional 2D Street fighter game. Dead or alive 4 is really the best fighting game so far for me.
its to easy ... set it to 1 round ... mode easy ... and just do 1 move .. hold down and press right bumper over n over again b4 they get up...u can unlock everything in like 1-2 hrs if u wanted to

I like Street Fighter games alright, but I would prefer more Marvel vs Capcom games instead. A new Killer Instinct would be good as well or maybe a new Power Stone. I'm not it a big hurry either way since this 360 d-pad sucks a lot of a$$. And I don't like the PS d-pad much better, but at least it works properly.
I'm certainly not going to spend $60 on this game. Not that I've spent more than $20 on any 360 game yet. I may rent it if I know some friends are coming over, or I just might get SF2HD instead.

I was going to download this game the day it came out but decided to do some research on it first. Of all the gameplay footage I saw the game looked retarded so I decided not to waste a $2 disc on it. Instead I wasted a disc downloading fear 2 which I ended up not liking either.

after so many years it finally came out. I bought it yesterday here in japan and i think its freakin awesome. i always loved sf games, and part 4 is soooo great.
the soundtrack ist fantastic and it plays just so well. totally happy with it. online mode rocks totally!
and the jpn version is rc free and multilingual, for anyone interessted in buying it! shame on all the downloaders. this game so much deserves to be bought!

i have the japanese import version and i have to say its actually quite good. its the best fighter out there. at least the one which one can come to grips with the fastest. there is a fair bit of cheating on the AI's part but hey that just makes it that more challenging.
you wanna know what is a GREAT game? f.e.a.r 2. abdsolutely fantastic.
its got all the best of killzone 2 and left out all the bad. where killzone 2 demo felt slow and heavy (because the guy is a heavily armored marine) this is silky smooth and somehow the weapons feel more wieldy and powerful.
the weapon clips dont need reloading after every single shot. the weapons take just long enough to reload. the storyline is interesting and there are moments which will make you jump out your seet and hit the roof and many moments which will pump your adrenaline.
i think f.e.a.r 2 will be forgotten due to the hype of killzone 2, but it is a better game than killzone 2 in EVERY way. (in fact whatever killzone 2 tries to do, f.e.a.r did first).

I am with you on that, Marvel v Capcom would be a much better idea, tho I guess if SF4 does really well, capcom will see fit to bringing out updates of the other classic fighters.
I hate the PS/360 pads as well for fighting games, I have ordered the madcats SF pads for the 360. It's just irritating that MS don't like other companies using wireless pads (or charge them so that they are put off doing so) so they are wired pads, but still it's better than using the normal pads (even tho I have 2 of the green ones with perfect working Dpads).
I hate the fricken BGM with some lame ass fool with a voice like a ***** who cant sing. To make matters worse, turning off the BGM, you can still hear it faintly (BUG). Interesting to see if this is fixed on retail. If it aint QA is getting worse passing titles with bugs.

I have played it and to be honest... it's not that good...
Seems like the same old Street Fighter with updated cel shaded graphics. Sure there are a couple new fighters. That alone might make it worthwhile to some, but as far as my personal preference, it's nothing I haven't seen before.
I like to consider myself decent (if nothing else) with fighting games. I have 1000/1000 on Soul Calibur 4. I just cannot beat Seth (final boss) on Hard. I sat there for probably an hour swearing and drinking trying to beat his ass, but he is just too powerful. I know some are gonna criticize me for saying that, but you gotta admit he ain't easy!
He is neither easy or hard to beat, he's cheap, as Gill was in all of the SF3 editions. I have beaten him with Zangief and Ryu so far. Zangief took one try and Ryu about 6 (Which sux cause Ryu's my boy, hehe). You will get him man, he is very susceptible to a late jump kick to instant high kick sweep, I can usually get him with 2 of those right off the bat. ;)
im sooo waiting for KOFXII as well. looks SICK!!! wish capcom went the 2D route like snk did with kof12. heard perhaps an april release? wont hold my breath,but would be sweet tho.:D
Yes according to some online resources kof 12 will hits Japan April then PS3 and xbox360 version expected to follow, hope this console version will not take long to arrive. I just can't wait :).

I have had the official English release for a few days now.
Online play is great and so far lag does not seem to be much of a problem. You definitely need an arcade stick, can't imagine canceling into ultras on the standard 360 pad.

It's a rip of the official JAP version, it's stealth patched etc. so the chance of anyone getting banned is slim to none. And there have been numerous ppl proving that the game is indeed in people's hands - the RETAIL version that is.
are you sure about that, i agree that certain games should be paid for (the last being fallout 3) but i was dubious after seeing the vids, hence why i "tested" it out and i wasnt massively impressed, to be honest im glad i didnt pay for it, id rather see SF3 or alpha, or better yet a pal release of guilty gear
Guess thats why demo is for to test out the games..

people take a crap every day, but it's certainly not news worthy.
I was going to download this game the day it came out but decided to do some research on it first. Of all the gameplay footage I saw the game looked retarded so I decided not to waste a $2 disc on it. Instead I wasted a disc downloading fear 2 which I ended up not liking either.
lol @ didn't like fear 2 either.
