A few of you reported about some Xbox 360 dumps floating around the net, well the team responsible have released a nice open source dump extracter! Here is a quick quote from the nfo 'here we go with a nice
extractor tool so that you can extract the dumps and check out the files, we even decided to release the source code, so that you can figure out the filesystem and make even nicer tools and clean up our horrible looking code, cause we are lazy and old!'


So you've seen all our raw dumps? but what can you use them for?
Nothing in their current form, yet! - But here we go with a nice
extractor tool so that you can extract the dumps and check out
the files, we even decided to release the source code, so that
you can figure out the filesystem and make even nicer tools and
clean up our horrible looking code, cause we are lazy and old!
Usage: extract360.exe gamename.360 [wildcard]...
For example:
extract360.exe pi-nfsmw.360
Sit back and relax, and enjoy, these xbox360 games are quite
large!
And a note to the tech guys:
Yes, once you get past the protections and down to the raw
bits on the disc, its just the standard xboxdvdfs, however the
offset and layer breakpoint are different!

Working out the filesystem usually never does, especially when you consider they're not likely to completely change a filesystem that seemed to work reasonably well for them last time...

The biggie is actually getting said games running ;)

Ya this was the easiest part. But then again it's only 2 weeks and we have something :o

Don't get me wrong, i'm not rubbishing the efforts being made so far - far from it in fact.

It's the little breakthroughs like these that make the seemingly BIG breakthroughs possible :)

Well you have to think, games get larger every time a new console comes out, or a new generation of PC games, etc.

If I remember correctly, Halo 2 was like...7-9gb with the Single Player maps, right?

download conent on 360 has ben crack the rno ISO loder yet but i am play downlaod coente free FROm echlon i do not think we need mod chip this time we can use crack content if dl ct is the same as on xbox it want need to be sine \be for 360 ther ware no way to do this as rumer thay may offer use to downlaod or game to 360 ather than buy the dvd so loding ISO shude not be thta hard

I beleive he's sayin that we don't need a modchip to run these. In which case he's wrong.

A ISO loader won't do the trick, as the xbox360 protection won't allow that sort of things.

I found that kinda uncalled for. If what he says is true. if he's 7 his grammer still is kinda crappy but still he's tryin. If he's from a different country which may be the case then he's still not to blame. I think it's unfair that we expect everybody know english. There is a way only how!!!(mebay not whit iso but just whit data in binaire)
There must be a way to set up a fake nds server(like on cube)and download some data on to the 360hdd.I also think there ripping the games like this tough!!!

ok not michael friend like with pso youc na load iso with 360 it is the same thing but with no need for cd simple makeing a ISO loder will not be hard it will be cracking content thats the hard part i have a japnese and us 360 the us 1 will not laod my crack content the jp 1 load some things like game demo but no pay stuff if i cna post the crack demo it might help other make iso loder i never ben on this site so do not ban michale for my err
