Hello I want to be able to play backup games on my Wii (I have the originals so am still paying for them).

I don't want to void my warranty so a mod chip is a no go.

I have read so many website some website say I need that Zelda game some say I don't do what am asking is what do I need?

I have a Launch day Wii and I think I have the latest update for the wii. What is the best and easyest way to be able to play backup games?

I know I need a SD card but thats it can anyone please tell me a quick step by step guide on how to load that backup launcher channel on my wii please thanks.

ok... a modchip won't void your warranty and is SOLID!(like cake.. haha, sorry...)

but, if you wanna go the softmod way, I'll give you a hand..

First, we need to know what firmware you have. Go to your Wii's options menu and look at the top right.

you also need to go but Zelda Twilight Princess for the Wii (or rent it, you only NEED it once) and an SD card aswell as an SD card reader for your computer. (some printers with SD card slot will work too)

when you get that done, let me know and I'll tell you what to do next...

Follow the "Softmodding for Dummies" guide at the link below.

http://www.wiiguide.co.cc/

From start to finish, it should take no more than 10-15 minutes.

------------------------------

The files you need are bundled nicely in the "Softmodding for Dummies" kit. You can get it at any one of these links:
