help on downgrading please

Hi all

I've done the HBC install after reading the threads on here.

I've got a D2PRO chip running v1.7 on a 3.3E Wii.

I've had a few problems where some backups don't work but do when going via Gecko OS.

So I understand from other threads this came about on the Oct 3.3 update.

How can I downgrade to 3.2E ?

I think i'm having problems installing WADS from the SD card. I managed to install the Gecko OS from the HBC.

I've done some reading on this but alittle confused and dont fancy bricking the Wii only 2 days old 8)

Ok thanks for the quick reply. Quick question or two...

I've downloaded the program and read the readme.txt and its saying the following....

[ REQUISITES ]:

- Custom IOS37 rev 03 or higher.
- Internet connection.


[ HOW TO USE ]:

- Run the application and select the firmware to install.

How do I know what my firmware 3.3E is .. whats custom IOS37 rev 03 or higher ?

Also its saying run the application, its a cIOS-Downgrader_v1.2.dol file

How do I run this ?

Which process out of the two is better?

I've having problems with the process from wiihacks website.

I'm still on 3.3E and trying to get down to 3.2E.

Looking on the net there seems to be loads of different methods but i'm not to sure which to follow now

fro 3.4 downgrade, I would use Waninkoko's,
for 3.3 downgrade, I would use Tona's anyregion changer

Mine has the 3.3 V2 i think
Because I'm having problems loading WADS is this correct ?

I used the anyregion changer 1.1b and it completed ok but said there was a few errors.

After it completed I was back on the main anyregion menu and it was saying the region and system menu didn't match.

All I changed was the install system menu 3.2 and didn't change anything else.

Anyway the controllers were flashing blue leds everytime I pressed a button and in the end I pressed the power button off and on.

Its showing 3.2E and everything seems to be working ok.

What could have gone wrong and is the wii in a semi brick state?

hmm.. I'm not sure what's wrong...

I would bring up your issue at the Wiibrew (http://forum.wiibrew.org/list.php?17) forums

just be sure not to mention WAD installs or backup games, they freak over those little things... just say you were tying to downgrade and are having issues x y and z...

use Tona's (there are two, Tona's is better) shop "hack" (http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Wii_Shop_and_IOS51_installer)

Here is my experience with downgrade so far...

at first my wii was on 3.2, when 3.3 poped live ive upgraded it....i was tired of using geckoOS to used custom Guitar hero, so i switched back to 3.2 using the downgrade method. Store was not working on 3.2 so i patched it two time... one time for 3.3 and when 3.4 came available...

when 3.4 poped live ive got the great idea to install it.... ive got tired a second time of using gecko os, but this time the downgrade method from 3.3 didn't worked for me so ive used the wii region changer and got some error too. All worked fine after but i only got one strange thing

The store was still patched after downgrade !!!!

i think patched ios keep pachted, is iam right ?
