wii 3.4U and animal crossing "this upgrade could cause inoperability of your console"

My wii was 3.2U and wiikey 1.9g, with HBC 0.8 .. everthing was ok.....

But, I got Animal crossing City Folk game and try to play it.. first time I got a black screen.

So I decided to update my wii to the 3.4U from internet, everthing keeps working fine after the update ( the wads, HBC, the backups games ) .....

I saw in a lot of places telling to not update to 3.4 .... but everthing was ok .... But Animal crossing don't work....

well.. I was with the Animal crossing in the drive... and my son hit the wii shop channel.... an update screen pops up.... I avoid the update.....

Now.. the DVD channel doesn't shows the game picture.. but shows a wii picture with "Wii System Update", as you can see in the attachment.

.... If I try to enter the game.... it shows me the message "In order to use this software, you must perform a Wii system update. Selct OK to begin the update".

After I press ok... shows mw that:

"IMPORTANT: If you do not want to accept this upgrade, you can shut down your wii console and cancel the upgrade by hloding down the power button fou four seconds. If your wii console has an unauthorized technical modification, this upgrade could cause inoperability of your console. " there is a button "I ACCEPT"

Well, I can run Animal Crossing City Folk with Gecko OS.....

But, what should I do?

Well, I can run Animal Crossing City Folk with Gecko OS.....

But, what should I do?


install starfall (since you have 3.2) in order to have it over look the update... kindof like geocko, but through the Wii disc channel, like a modchip almost

there is a software out that patches iso's and gets rid of the update tag and does the region patching all in one try it its called WIU 1.0 only patches game tho not internet updates i can't confirm if it works because mines not modded yet im looking into it

I have to choose... rollback the update to 3.2 or take care of all new ISOs to take off any updates...

I heard that 3.4 has improvments like a better DVD read, etc...

I download the W.i.U 1.1, and open the Shaun White snowboarding... it shows me a Update: UPEy [ WARNING UPDATE ]
The Firmware: Unknown..

If a Patched the Update.. Will the game work?

I think the best to do is KEEP the 3.4U and pacth all ISOs...

Another question is... I have the 3.4U what tipe of update has animal crossing? Is that only to check the TP Hack :cool:? I think so.....

I remove the Animal Crossing city folk update and burn the DVD.. but it not works, doesn't read the DVD ( Gecko OS also gives me a NO DVD ).

Is this wiu 1.1 the best to use? anybody using it?

i've used it but every game is different mine worked but only with iso boot loader from the channels

I installed it on all the ones I modded with WiiKey and WiiKey2 and no issues.. if you do *any* update either on Animal Crossing or System Update states that.

It didn't cause any issues with me so far..
