Ok so I have the homebrew channel v.1.0.1. When I run it, the icon in the lower right corner will flash a few times and then stay dark. I press HOME and see that it is not connected to the network. I hit back and click on the network icon and it lights up. I then press HOME again and see that my Wii is assigned an IP address. I hit back again, and try to run Homebrew Browser. Everytime I try to run Homebrew Browser, though, it says:
"Waiting for network to initialise..."
"Unable to initialise network, exiting"
And it brings me back to the homebrew channel.
I've been trying this with the Homebrew Browser as well as the Tona Shop Installer (which is supposed to update the WiiShop and IOS51), and I get the same error, "Unable to initialise network".
I disabled the WiiConnect24 to see if that was the issue, but no dice.

I don't get it... When I'm in the homebrew channel, I can ping my Wii from my computer, but as soon as I load up something, I can't ping the Wii. I was able to run Homebrew Browser and download a game about an hour ago, but I don't know why I can't now..

I basically can't load any channel that needs to connect to the network.
Any help??

btw, I'm running Homebrew Browser 0.2.4.

Hello Wilson

I doubt you are doing anything wrong, probably just a bug... the channel has only been out for 1 day. But I would suggest you post your issue with it in the wiibrew forums, the devs of the HBC don't come around maxconsole much... but I am sure they scout through the official wiibrew forum.

I had the same problem the first time I used HBB. I went to the Wii menu, went to network settings, and did a test connection. It connected successfully, so i went back to HBB, and it started working for me. Maybe your problem may be different because of the new HBC, I haven't updated yet so I don't know if there is a bug in HBC.
