i got some problems running ssbb with my wii. using NTSC WII
im not sure what modchip is in it.
i burned the game dvd9 3 times with img burn 2.4x and 4x with layer break and 1 with 2.4x with clonecd using verbatim 2.4x dvd+r
when i put in the disc in the wii, i go to the disc channel and it pops up the "An Error has occured, eject the disc, turn the wii blah blah" so i do and when i put it back and reboot. i go to the disc channel and it says the disc is unable to read.
i am able to play a original copy of ssbb fine but i can't find the problem

Whats your Wii Firmware? If its 3.3 or higher, you probably have the same problem as me. The SSBB game you got, maybe its Trucha Signed or from another region.
my system is 3.3U and the iso i downloaded was NTSC and my system is NTSC.
the iso was dvd9 and stuff but i dont know y it doesnt work

you need to burn the game with a dual layer break on imgburn at:2084960. Tools> Settings> Write
i burnt 3 copies of it 2.4x and 4x with layer break and 1 w/o layer break at 4x and they all give the same results

you put the layer break at that exact number?
yes at 2084960 but it was said that the NTSC version doesnt need layer break but i still dont know what it won't work

It's probably a problem with your modchip. Since you don't even know what chip is inside your wii, it's pretty much impossible to help you any further.
My guess is your chip is older and needs to be updated to work with dual layer discs.

I would try using Sony DVD-Rs.. They've never given me a problem.

I highly doubt its a media problem. Ive used the crappiest media at the highest speeds and havent had DRE problems.
ill try to ask the guy who mod the wii for me to see what modchip he put in the wii

Try loading it with a loader. Chanel brew
