This is great thanks! One question: what version of the backup launcher have you included? Is it 0.3gamma? Also, how do I update to future loader versions?

donkhe
12-05-2008, 07:09 AM
The loader version is:
Backup Channel 0.3b with the latest fixes ( BackupChannel_Fixes_0.3b_channel_by_WiiShizzza)
that was included in the "jfjfjf's All-In-One Wii Backup Loader pack".
Here is his thread: http: //forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=131301

Sorry, I am not allowed to post links yet.

When the time will come to update the backup loader channel

Launch Homebrew Channel
Launch Wad Manager
Select the old Backup Channel
Click on '-' on your Wii remote
Wait
Press 'A' to go back to the list of wad
Select the new Backup Channel
Click on '+' on your Wii remote
Wait
Press 'A' to confirm
Press the blue house (Home) button on your Wii remote

No it's not included. Included are IOS16 and cios249. It's the minimum to softmod the Wii. Remember this kit is for Dummies.

thanks for all your work..........

I have a question, when i go to play a backup game it just goes to a black screen then displays a black and white screen that says "code dump" on it and with another game it just stays on a black screen.

Any ideas?

EDIT: It was just my disc's, crappy no name brand.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS

Im getting the #002 error when trying to load Need For Speed.
I looked around and most places say to use another backup loader.

Is there a way to add another loader or anything if I have my system set up exactly how your guide directs?

Yes you will be. Just follow the guide. Somebody told me he had to apply the extra steps for firmware 3.4 on it's firmware 3.3u. When you will have finished, could you please tell me if the extra steps where necessary on your 3.3u firmware?

Thanks.

You can remove the SD card if you just use the backup launcher. But if you download homebrew applications, they will be installed on your SD card. You will need it to run downloaded applications.

I didn't test with sdhc cards. But I know sd cards of any size will work as long as they are formatted fat16. The included sd installer will do it for you.

Hi there
I'm still a noob at this.
So this will work on the 3.4 firmware, both wad installer and backup launcher?
Or does this downgrade the firmware, so we can softmod it?

I was told the 3.4 cannot do anything.

edit: do i have to use wiibrickblocker? i mean i won't update unless it told to isn't it? (in the wii i mean)

edit2: i think i installed version 1... do i need to uninstall the backup loader to install the new one?

All regions you just have to go into the menu before loading a game and tell it to force ntsc or pal depending on your region.

Great stuff donkhe, you make it so easy! I also have a question: I'm hoping to install starfall so that I can have some sort of brick recovery. For that I need to install system menu 3.2, which I was hoping to do using any_region_changer. My question is, should I update to 3.2 FIRST (before installing IOS and backup loader)?

I didn't test it myself, but I would probably install the backup launcher, then install update 3.2. But It may work in any case. I just don't know.

the best way to get to 3.2 is to use a Wii game with that update, like Mario Galaxy or Mario Kart

Ok, i am new to this as well. I installed the necessary apps onto my SD card and was able to run the twilight hack. I got to the menu where it asks me to accept certain things to continue. Upon reaching the last agreement and page of install it tells me my wii is too old.

I have had this wii since release. Never upgraded and barely played until now. Is there anyway I can manually upgrade to a specific firmware version that will allow me to install the homebrew channel? I think I may have read someplace that using a particular game will upgrade to that specific version and not necessarily to the newest 3.4 version.

Please, any help or input is much appreciated. :D

yep, use a game like MariKart of MarioGalaxy to update to 3.2...

At a last resort (but I would definitely suggest the previous) you could update to 3.4, install Homebrew, and then downgrade to 3.2... but that is risky...

Oops. You're right. I removed this section by mistake. To answer your question, just install it over the previous channel:

launch Homebrew Channel
Launch Wad manager
Move your cursor to BackupChannel.wad and press +
Exit the Wad Manager and that's it.

Hi, Thanks for this guide, it was extremely helpful.

One quick question.

Is there anything that can be done about the slow down in the full motion video in backup games. Such as the intro movie to "Wario Shake it" runs extremely slow on my backup but runs fine on my original game.

Thanks.

Great tutorial- works really well and easily.
One question- I have to press and hold "1" every time I launch a game, to go into the config menu, and change "Force NTSC" to "YES"
Is there any way to make it always on? Is it supposed to save it based upon the game itself? Because it seems to have an ID number for different games, but no config settings I've ever set, including the NTSC has ever stayed?

But

I have burned Call of duty on 3 diff types of disc at 4x and all come up with an error after its starts loading, im using ridisc & datawrite & JVC and all verified ok after writing. Nothing wrong with the file itself as i got it from a private tracker and nobody has reported any problems. I use these for X-box 360 no issues.

ALso could somebody explain How i add friends or send messages though as it kepps telling me to switch on wiconnect 24 ??????? ( thought this must stay off ? )

Update: Just burned Res Evil on to RiDisc and seems to be working ok.
Some games need better discs ? ( Verbatim ? ) seems very odd.

I have installed it correctly, but now a couple of questions:

1. The Twilight hack is still on the system drive. Do I have to remove this or not? Can I remove it?

2. Do I always have to use the SD-card in the Wii?? When I take the sd out, I cant seem to start homebrew etc...

3. Started back-up launcher and pressed 1 and hold it. I get a screen about launching the game, configuration etc...
But the game doesnt start, not even if I choose for loading the game.

4. If I have to use an SD -card, which files on the card I used for hacking, can I delete?

My Google skillz are phailing me today. Are Miis still shareable after softmodding? It seems that WiiConnect24 is needed to be able to share Miis, so does that mean that sharing Miis is not going to work?

If I enable WiiConnect24 briefly to get to my friend code, disconnect WiiConnect24, and share the code with my friend, will that work? Or does WiiConnect24 have to be enabled at all times to share Miis? Do I also stand a chance at getting banned?

Thanks,

So, when I done this before (3.3e) it crashed without loading the installer on the first try? Any idea why, out of interest? It worked on the second try though.

When it did work, it loaded the first screen so I pressed 1 and it did it's thing. Then a second screen popped up, out of instinct I thought it was the "this has only been tested on" screen so pressed one, although I noticed it say something about IOS before it continued the install. What does that screen actually say lol? I shouldn't rush with things like that...

Anyway, everything works like normal. I am having some video issues with NTSC games, but I think that's my TV and not my Wii...

I just put my origional mario cart disc in my wii and it wants to update my firmware ?.
I have just downgraded, How do i stop this ?.

Get a copy of the game, and run the brickblocker. That's the only solution I can think of. Although I'm running at 3.4U, so an original Mario Kart shouldn't care on my system... not sure- maybe someone with more experience can chip in.

...Anyway, everything works like normal. I am having some video issues with NTSC games, but I think that's my TV and not my Wii...

I noticed that my games aren't filling up the entire screen like they would with an original game disc. I am using NTSC games with an NTSC Wii. Is there any way to make adjustments?

Thanks,
jawgee

I have installed it correctly, but now a couple of questions:

1. The Twilight hack is still on the system drive. Do I have to remove this or not? Can I remove it?

Yes

2. Do I always have to use the SD-card in the Wii?? When I take the sd out, I cant seem to start homebrew etc...

Only needed for homebrew channel. Not for Backup Launcher

3. Started back-up launcher and pressed 1 and hold it. I get a screen about launching the game, configuration etc...
But the game doesnt start, not even if I choose for loading the game.

Update your cIOS (cIOS249-IOS36-rev07.wad) to the new version. Just download "Wii Softmodding for Dummies v2.2.3" from wiiguide.co.cc (http://wiiguide.co.cc)

4. If I have to use an SD -card, which files on the card I used for hacking, can I delete?

sd card is only needed for Homebrew channel.

DC

Great tutorial- works really well and easily.
One question- I have to press and hold "1" every time I launch a game, to go into the config menu, and change "Force NTSC" to "YES"
Is there any way to make it always on? Is it supposed to save it based upon the game itself? Because it seems to have an ID number for different games, but no config settings I've ever set, including the NTSC has ever stayed?

Read this thread to find the answer to your question

When it did work, it loaded the first screen so I pressed 1 and it did it's thing. Then a second screen popped up, out of instinct I thought it was the "this has only been tested on" screen so pressed one, although I noticed it say something about IOS before it continued the install. What does that screen actually say lol? I shouldn't rush with things like that...
Anyone? I'm interested to know as I'll probably never run the Twilight Hack again...

I've read around people mentioning things like "this has only been tested on 256 and not 352" or whatever, which I kind of get what it is. But when I seen the word IOS after I had already pressed 1 was a little un-nerving as I would have rather seen what it said... Any ideas?

Everything is working fine for me now im very happy, thanks to all you guys that have helped along the way.

Could sombody please tell me if i should update my firmware to the latest version ?.

Im concerned about games that want to update my system. Im using brickblocker on every iso i use to stop updates but i am concerned about origional discs as some games want to update your system. If i buy a new game from the store and instal a required update can it BRICK my wii or is it likely to stop my backups loading.

I suggest you to download all your games (not to buy them). But if you really want to buy a new game, do a backup and brick block it. It's the safest way.

It is (Cyclowiz chip installed in mine) I think - but the softmod seems to have about a 98% success rate with games at the minute so it's not a bad little option :)

Is there still a possibility of going back to original? And so how?

I'm trying to softmod with firmware 3.4e (I patched the firmware on 12/26/08)

I can get as far as loading twilight princess and walking backwards, but then it comes up to a black screen and says

Reading boot.dol
boot.dol not found (-1) reading boot.elf
failed to read boot.elf (-1)
no code found to load, hanging.

I tried running the install.bat again and on the mem card is DO see boot.dol and the folders with the homebrew.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

My 3.4 ver. has done the same thing and I have yet to find the answer for fixing the read error.

You need to install the NFS fix - which I believe is the IOS51 files which sorts the game nicely :)

Also install the latest IOS36 Rev 07 which is the latest one as well and should sort it.

Hi!

To answer your question, you can delete any of the softmodding files from your Wii including the installed homebrew channel so as to, revert back to the original settings :)

the most recent homebrew channels seem to use boot.dol rather than boot.elf, but I seem to have sorted it

in case it helps anyone

I was trying to sort out the same problem for a mate running 3.4 just a few mins ago, quite tricky through remote assistance to his pc lol.

Anyways, tried the umpteen things, a couple of diff SD cards, downloading new homebrew files again, fat16 and 32 etc, renaming to boot.elf etc. None would work with it, giving the same unable to load boot.elf file.

In the end I read that ig encounter the problem to try formatting to Fat16 (ok we had done that b4) but using the "OFficial SD Card Formatting Tool" which is here http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter/

I was a bit skeptical but decided to try it anyways, installed the program and ran it, giving it a Full format. Took a good 3 or 4 mins to format the card, but then once it did set it all running and bobs ya uncle it worked no problem now.

So it appears that Windows own format tool sometimes isnt' correctly setting the format properly. Whether its to do with cluster sizes, quickformatting, or whatever gawd only knows, but it certainly did the trick. For what its worth though his machine is Vista. When I've done mine I've always been on XP.

hope it helps

i found the solution - at the backup loader launcher - config options - set Force PAL60 to Yes - then after that no more blank screen. I guess the problem was the refresh rate - game was PAL and the wii is NTSC...i use verbatim dvd-r also...thanks!

Well I would just like to say a big thank you to everyone for all the info in this thread. I have successfully done the kids wii 1st go with the tutorial and it works spot on.
I do have a question though! I'm currently on 3.4E and have brick blocked the ISO I used for my 1st game with success. Would you recommend down grading to 3.2 and putting starfall on just as a safety measure for future ref with it being the childrens console? If I did this would I have to delete the stuff that I have already done and start all over again? It's not a problem starting over but I was just wandering.

I could be wrong and if i am, i'm sure everyone on here will soon tell me, but if you run the games directly through the back up launcher it skips the auto up date by just not readng that part of the disk, so there is no need to brick block your games.

If you check just up above you will see that i dont brick block the games that i run through back up launcher as the launcher skips that part of the disk that contains the update.

but other people like to remove the update with brick blocker, either way works fine tho.

Here's my question:

I am relatively new to modding the Wii (have modded other systems). I have done 3 so far, on the first 2 everything works fine, on the third one the backups don't work, retail games do work through backup loader but not the backups. The same backups do work fine in the first 2 I've done. Is there any reason why they might not work in this particular system?

These are all softmodded and running version 3.2U.

I'll try the program, thanks, but what options do I have to select?
And I had a Zelda save erased before I tried to copy it

-Still no work after using that formatter program..
I found out what version Twilight Hack I have though, it's v0.1-beta2 by Team Twiizers

EDIT://Yay, got everything working now :D
My problem was that I had the wrong version of the Twilight Hack, instead of beta2 I had to have beta1. beta2 is only for FW 3.4 while beta1 is up to 3.3, so the install.bat file had a mistake, when prompted whether you had the new or old firmware, I selected new, since it said 3.3 and up.
After reading a little on Wiibrew.org I figured I had to have the other Hack version, so I just selected old and it worked! Yay

Thanks everyone!

PS. I got all my backups running, except for Brawl. Am I the only one? Or has it been reported that Backup launcher can't run DL discs?

[QUOTE=cavan1;1118485]@redi2roc ive brick blocked ntsc games for my pal console and no problems

is brick blocker universal or do i gotta find a patch for each game i wanna patch?

And Is there a way to force ntsc everytime without going into congig in BL?

ANd using wad manager when we install thoes wads do they actually save to the system memory or do they stay on the sd card just worried about clogging up the on board memory.

Quick update and question!!!

I have managed to downgrade to 3.2E Also managed to play EVERY disc that i have put in until now.I am trying to play Need for speed undercover but keep getting an error 002 or something. Is there a way around this without going to 3.4?
Also how on earth do i get starfall installed? Every time i try to do it i get a black screen saying failed exiting!!!
Once again thank you all for this fantastic site , its been a great help.

Thanks! But how can I see what version suits my system and version I have right now? :p
I have followed all the steps as accurate as possible, but since I got stuck where it says to copy Twilight Hack on system, I don't really have a lot of steps to do wrong :p
I'm not that great with Homebrew since I had a modchip on my previous Wii..
But the SD card is a standard Sandisk 2 GB for the Wii.
I read somewhere someone had the same problem with a US Wii when he was at 3.3U and after he updated it to 3.4 the problem resolved. Im not really willing to update mine to 3.4 since I see there are a lot of restrictions on Homebrew.

Gald you got it working had a feeling like in my post that it would be the wrong type of twighlight hack,

glad your up and running, tho. :D

I get relatively small black bars on the left and right of my backups when playing them, like it's not filling up my entire HDTV screen. This does not happen when I play the original games. Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks,

When the hack refuses to copy over to your Wii, in a 100% of the cases that i have seen of this, the person trying to softmod was using the wrong twighliht hack.

You have 3.3 so when your answering the question "old or new firmware" type O for old on the sd card setup tool that come with this pack.

im really confused now as when i have read the softmod for dummies instructions , it says that if we have anything lower than 3.3 then we should type (o) if it is 3.3 or above we should type (n) so which one is it then.

to me that says if we are on 3.3 we should type (n) for newer

When you are preparing your SD Card you have 3.3 or below then select O for the Old Firmware

You only need to select N if you have 3.4

It is abit misleading in the program

1. I have sent you a PM
2. Use Starfall to stop Updates
3. See number 2 :)

This is how I downgrade :-
DOWNGRADE From 3.4

NOTE: You're Wii does require connection to the Internet otherwise it won't work.
If you do have an Internet connection and you get errors while it's installing the IOSs, just restart the Wii and try again.

1. Make you SD Card for downgrading

2. Extract the Wii downgrade.rar and drag the "apps" and "wad" folder on the SD card.

3. Using the Homebrew Channel, open WAD Manager 1.3

4. Press A on the Wii controller once. The Wii should detect a SD Card. Press A again to see a list of WADs on the SD Card.
Use the D-Pad to select IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad.
Press + button to install the WAD.
Once it has installed the WAD, press the Home button to restart your Wii.

5. Using the Homebrew Channel, open WAD Manager 1.3
Now install the cios_fix.wad.
Once it has installed the WAD, press the Home button to restart your Wii.

6. Using the Homebrew Channel, open IOS Downgrader.
Just follow the instructions and wait until it finishes installing the necessary IOSs.

7. Using the Homebrew Channel, open Install Shop IOS51.
Say Yes to install the IOS51
Say Yes to patching a fix
Say No to the Wii Shop Channel

8. Downgrade to 3.2 using cIOS Downgrader.
9. Load WAD Manager.
10. Install cIOS249-IOS36-rev07.wad.

That’s it!!!!

Your Wii is now downgraded and able to play back ups :D
Enjoy

Here's my question:

I am relatively new to modding the Wii (have modded other systems). I have done 3 so far, on the first 2 everything works fine, on the third one the backups don't work, retail games do work through backup loader but not the backups. The same backups do work fine in the first 2 I've done. Is there any reason why they might not work in this particular system?

These are all softmodded and running version 3.2U.

I'm still looking for an answer to this. Are some Wii's just picky as to what brand of media you use?

what exactly is this file ? i have done all the processes on the softmodding for dummies instructions , all seems to have gone well i must say , but i do not know if this file has done anything , i have installed the homebrew channel .

also i have installed back up loader but i do not think i need this do i , as i have a wiikey installed ?

whats my next step for downgrading from 3.3e to 3.2e then blocking updates from discs ?

also i have 2 homebrew browsers on my homebrew channel 2.4 and 2.5b im thinking i should only need 1 channel for this (2.5b) if so how do i delete the other 1 ?

cheers , hey im really getting into this now , im having fun :-)

Put the extracted Starfall WAD fil into your WAD folder on your SD Card
Then open up your Homebrew Channel > Wad Intaller > Starfall

When you have installed it goto your Wii Home Screen > Starfall
You have to press buttons B and 1 together ( you may need to do this a few times to get it to work )

Then what I do is install the last 3 in the list, can't remember what they are called

I read this guide and I have a couple of questions. Is there any reason why it says that you should install IOS249 v7 when there is a v8 out. It says "only for homebrew" in the nfo. Does it work on backups too? Also I have read on other sites that you have to use firmware 3.2 or below to install wads, but in this guide it seems that you only have to downgrade if you have 3.4 or above. I have version 3.3e PAL and i'm not sure if it will work. I also wonder if IOS249 v8 works on both a PAL and NTSC-wii. I thought that it was really important to install updates from the right region, but there is only one IOS249 v8 wad for both PAL and NTSC?

you can use a dowloaded version of the game (back up) if you have a modchipped wii , if however you have nothing installed on your wii i.e modchip then you will have to use an original version of the game and make your own save file

I’ll keep this brief.

Nintendo, as expected, half-assed the SD feature by just automating the copy to NAND. No surprise there.

The IOS16 that warez users used to pirate is no longer an option, thank goodness.

HBC survives. So does DVDX.

They fixed the bug that the HBC installer and DVDX 3.4 installer use; time to bring out another one.

Twilight Hack no longer works. I’d like to remind everyone that this exploit has been in use for over a year. Whether it comes back or a new game exploit takes its place, I think we can say it’s served us all well.

No new problems expected with BootMii, other than needing a new exploit as mentioned above.

Remove Rev 07 before installing Rev 08 for best results.

You can install Rev 08 over Rev 07, and it overwrites some of the internal links it uses, but Rev07 is still there, but unaware that it has been partly overwritten.

Now, if you attempt to remove Rev07 with Wad Manager 1.3 (just to tidy things up), then you actually break Rev08 and DVD Dump won't work. Just drops you back to HBC main page.

This is OK, because if you then install Rev08 again, it will re-make the links you just broke.

So the best way is simply:

1) Use Wad Manager 1.3 to uninstall rev07 (press (-) on Wiimote when selecting it from the menu).
2) Install Rev08 through the IOS36 program donkhe provided.
3) Enjoy.;)

I installed the wad manager as per guide then went to IOS16.WAD, went back to cIOS36 installer clicked on that. clicked on Load, pressed "A" Selected WAD install., pressed started to install and when it got to [+] Installing custom IOS please wait..... I get
Installing ticket.... ERROR! (ret= -2011)

I have no clue what this means also I have version 3.4U
If anyone has any idea please let me know.

I would suggest you to reformat your SD card with the batch file included in the AIO kit. If it's not working, try the internet installation instead.

What I did was downloaded the v2.5 and used the Install (MS-DOS batch file) and went through all the steps and also formated the SD card these are steps that I used:
clicked on Instal (Ms-dos window opened)
typed "N" for New because I have 3.4u version
Region typed "U"
need to copy obsoete channels typed "Y"
Enter drive letter typed "G"
need FAT16 FORMAT typed "Y"
It formated and loaded the SD card

I think it is pretty straight forward

If I did something wrong please let me know

Success! I downgraded my Wii to 3.2 and installed HBC, and got busy with the Homebrew Browser.

Question though, does the Wii just suck at tranfer rates over wireless or is the homebrew FTP server just slow? I can't get more than 60kB/s when transferring files to the Wii.

Seems like the steps are not perfect yet for a virgin install when running firmware 3.4 or higher. An other update will be done soon.

If somebody has a virgin console running firmware 3.4 or higher, could you please test this:

make sure you select install obsolete files from the sd installer batch file.

After installing IOS36-64-v1042.wad
install cIos24-IOS36-rev07.wad and then
install cIOS36 rev8 using the cIOS installer.

Thanks

It's something your end, i'm getting 220kb/s which is still slow for a 11mb network.

Edit, we're probably talking about different things, i'm backing up a game from my Wii disk drive to my PC over the wireless network so it's probably the homebrew FTP server.

you can load wads on 3.4. you have to install wad manager, wad manager for IOS16, IOS16.wad and cIOS_249.wad. they can all be found in this package www(dot)megaupload(dot)com/?d=QIN65HWQ (just look through all the folders for them). put the wad manager and wad manager for IOS16 in the apps folder on your sd card. put the IOS16.wad and cIOS_249 in the wad folder. now put your sd card in your wii and load up the hombrew channel. load wad manager and install IOS16.wad when its finished press home on your wiimote. load the homebrew channel again and this time load wad manager for IOS16. install the cIOS_249. when thats done, you should be able to load all of your wads with the wad manager.

Halfway down the thread in my previous post you'll see this post by Mamoon (credit to him). Follow these steps carefully and you can't go wrong. I and a few others have confirmed it working. Should sort it for you.

Hi all, I'm new here and new to modding. Spent a few hours reading up on everything and just wanted to say thanks for this great guide and pack.

My Wii was running 3.4u firmware and I used the softmodding for dummies 2.6 pack. I ran into the same error that everyone one else had who was running some form of 3.4. I tried out those instructions from Mamoon (loading the old files from the old softmodding for dummies 2.2.2 pack) and everything ran smoothly. Tried out the homebrew channel, wii backup loader, and isodump, all work perfectly.

I see that donkhe updated the pack this morning, I didn't download it but looking through the instructions it seems that you may have accomodated these changes into the procedure? I can't tell cause I dunno how/what the SD dump procedure is extracting. But i just wanted to weigh in and confirm that following mamoons extra steps worked for a virgin install on 3.4u firmware.

Thanks all!

The WAD Batch installer automate those steps for you.
In the previous AIO kit, I was missing CIOS249.
This is why so many people got problems on virgin console.
It is now resolved.

AIO kit V3.0 has less steps, is easier and should work for everyone.

Hi all, I'm also new. My wii is running 3.2u firmware and I softmodded it with AIO kit v2.6 and it works.

But with the new AIO kit v3.0 release
1) Do I need to update my wii with the V3.0?
2) and If I do - How is it done? do I have to reformat the SD card again to delete V2.6 and install V3.0
3) then I do just start on # 8 of the wiiguide 3rd edition and follow all the a-o steps?
4) how do I install USB loader and where to add it on the SD card

thanks for all your help

Just install the new cIOS rev 9 if you want to run USB loader.
Use the cIOS installer.
There are already lots of tutorials on how to run USB loader. I didn't plan to add it to my guide unless a bunch of users request it.

This problem is mainly caused by a system update that took place around the 23 of october, this update never changed the firmware number. so before and after the update the firmware stayed at 3.3e.

Hello, I have recently soft modded my wii (v 3.4u) with the supplied kit vs. 2.6. Everything seems to have worked fine, my backups will run, and the homebrew channel works. All in all I am very pleased. Now that I see a version 3.0 with changed files etc I was wondering what all I Would have to do to update my current soft mod to these newer versions. I apologize for being a bit hazy with all of this. I am still trying to get a solid grasp on it all. Thanks very much.

Can i use any version of Zelda twilight ?
As long as its a real copy not a back up yes.

Also i have a question, my wii is working great after using the Softmodding for Dummies instructions BUT when ever i play any backups the game works fine in every aspect but the sound during movies.

In game movies like Wario Land Shake it's anime intro or Mario Galaxys intro all have crackly and distorted sound.

Any one else experienced this?

I just finished loading & testing a pile of games to external HD. Once loaded, all appear to be working fine. Had a few bugs during loading, after eject one disk, another wouldn't always load without a reset. Most transferred in less than 10 minutes, several less than 5 minutes, ssbb took about 35 minutes. Sure beats dealing with dirty & scratched disks or raw dump & burn.

Follow the guides & installation is easy. No reason I see to not use it.

download the wad or dol files and install as normal
