15-year-old girl injured buying Xbox 360 from Wal-Mart on Black Friday

The Rapid City journal is reporting that a 15-year-old girl required hospital treatment following a Black Friday shopping altercation with an unidentified man. "The teenage girl was holding an Xbox 360 video game when she was struck in the throat by a male shopper who was yelling and pushing his way through a line of shoppers," said a Rapid City police officer said Friday. <i>The incident paled, however, when compared to the death of an employee at a Wal-Mart store in Long Island, N.Y., where a 34-year-old man was trampled to death by a surge of Black Friday shoppers who broke down the store's door before it opened for business.</i>

I think what happened to the people was wrong but here in the USA we have police and a judicial system that charges/sentences people for their crimes. Death is not the punishment needed for the karate chopped girl.... its an assault charge if the cameras can prove the guy hit her on purpose or other customers could be witnesses to the crime. As far as the guy who was trampled to death that one is real difficult as many people were obvious involved. Our judicial system could be used to give his family money for wrongful death.
