Press Release:
SEGA lets Sonic Unleashed Loose For Xbox 360
Sonic Unleashed for 360 hits stores across North America.

US, November 24, 2008 - SEGA of America, Inc. is happy to announce that Sonic Unleashed for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft is officially in stores across North America. Sonic Unleashed is an action-packed adventure filled with classic fast-paced gameplay and beautiful internationally-inspired locations taking full advantage of the newly developed proprietary Hedgehog engine built specifically to ensure stunning graphics and seamless gameplay.

Developed by Sonic Team in Japan, Sonic Unleashed is filled with classic 2D/3D gameplay and incredibly fast daytime action. The game features new moves that make Sonic even faster including the Sonic Drift (to corner quickly without losing speed), Ring Energy (faster speeds brings more ring energy), QuickStep (to move side to side without losing momentum), and Sonic Boost (uses Ring Energy to give Sonic a speed boost)- each allowing Sonic to reach unparalleled high speeds. Sonic Unleashed also introduces the Werehog – Sonic's dark alter ego who comes out when the moon shines bright. Within the nighttime levels, players can take advantage of the Werehog's strong and flexible arms to fight tough enemies as well as to climb and swing reaching all new heights in each level.

Sonic Unleashed takes players around the world to beautiful environments inspired by stunning exotic jungles and beaches, New York City, Africa, China and the Arctic snowy plains and more. In this epic adventure, Dr. Robotnik has once again wreaked havoc and, using the Chaos Emeralds, awakened a shadowy force known as the Dark Gaia. When the Dark Gaia wakes, he breaks apart the world, leaving Sonic to bring the planet back together. But the power used to wake this evil creature has also impacted our hero. When the nighttime arrives, Sonic transforms into the Werehog. Playing both daytime and nighttime levels, players will explore amazing environments and uncover a series of alternate paths, all with the goal to re-unite Sonic's fractured world.

Sonic Unleashed is currently available for Xbox 360, the Wii home video game system and the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system. The game will be available for the PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system in December 2008. For more information about Sonic Unleashed, please visit www.sonic-unleashed.com.

I can't remember the last time I cared for a sonic game... They should just let the series die with what little dignity it has left.

the game is good and i beat the leaked copy long ago and boy was it a disgrace performance-wise. If this game dropped fps on the 360, even though the ps3 allows hdd caching, i wouldn't be surprised if SEGA failed miserably for that version as well. I am not sure about the PS2/Wii versions, i could care less about those.

I will tell you this right here. Unless and untill the sonic team learns that sonic is all about SPEED. thats all we want. superblazing fast speed filled levels.

no garbage with tails. nothing with knuckles. not shadow. NOTHING BUT SONIC.

theres a reason the title says SONIC.

HOWEVER. sega feel compelled to drip feed us levels of absolute blistering speed brilliance yet again with this game. Over half the time, in this game, you will be running around beating up baddies as the WAREHOG.

Thats right folks, sonic tries to be god of war in this one. the warehog legels are atrocious, painful and tedious. However the sonic levels are gorgeous, speedy and adrenaline pumping. Please get this game at half rpice and download the gamesave first, and only play through the sonic levels. Believe me, the warehog levels are simply awful.

Yes, oldschool sonic in 3d/2d, and then miserableoverly long, VERY VERY hackneyed levels involving beat em up and horrendous platforming. and when i say the warehog levels are bad, i mean they are absolutely horrendous.

and come on. knuckles? really? lol to each their own. at least you didn't say sandy.

It seems to me like Sega have sold out sonic.
He's doing all sorts these days.
Mario and Sonic at the Olympics was just terrible. Not being a big fan of sports I don't tend to play them much but this game just destroyed all faith in olympic games. I played it for about an hour and got around five minutes of entertainment.
To me, Sonic died years ago.

Damn, I added the "it's" later. I looked through your sentence in search of a mistake but couldn't find a single one. :(
You win this time; but I'll be back. You hear me! I'll be back. :p:p
