Is there a FAQ for transferring saves? Because I have a (probably) pretty noobie question:

Are there any restrictions in transferring saves from one console to another using a harddrive adapter?

If a friend comes over, recovers his account, plays a game, and then wants to transfer that savegame back to his Xbox, is it possible? I am planning to plug my HD into my computer, transfer the saves to the computer, then plug in his HD and transfer them over.

Is there any weird validation stuff that would stop the transfer from working?

I dont know what the problem is with the gamesaving community, but no one seems willing to help new people out. I had the same when i first started out and Its frustrating.

What you need to do mate is to get saves resigned before they will work. They simply wont work from one console to another without being resigned to your profile ID. THe best thing to do is buy a mu and adapter from xploder and their software automatically resigns saves too by just dragging and dropping like windows explorer, hope that helps.

Thanks for the advice! I remembered hearing about resigning back in the early days and wondered if that had become a roadblock to save games transfers with dash updates.

The other reason I asked was because I was hoping that I didn't even need to resign. I am not moving it from one profile to another, because the profile he played on my Xbox is the same as his at home; he had recovered it to my Xbox to play stuff online.

So I was hoping since it was the same profile, there wouldn't be too much hassle.
