I think DSFlash and DSOrganize are the two most well-known impossible-to-compile applications out there for the DS. The comments on Natrium42's blog entry have some hints on upgrading to a newer version of DevKitARM than he used, but I don't think those will be all that helpful in the long run. You'd have better luck contacting Natrium42 directly.
