Xplay were recently treated to a sneak peak of the 'Halo Wars' campaign by Microsoft Game Studios and Ensemble Studios. <i>We apologize for the poor sound and background noise of journalists furiously typing on their laptops, but we think the video is worth watching anyway. game looks wack as hell, just another attempt to get everyone who is blindly following the "awesome halo universe" to drop another $60...

playing halo 3 online is the only thing remotely fun in halo games (story? no thanks) ... i think i'll stick to the original DOS command and conquer if i want a good rts game.

My plan is to get entertained with PC's RA3, then get the port of this game for PC (because we all know it will come) and finally around the time I finish all I wanted with Halo Wars get the upcoming Starcraft 2 (the real deal in RTS)

RTS is a no-go for consoles.

For good rts games like warcraft and starcraft you need the whole keyboard (many many shortcuts) and a mouse to control and micro.

No way to do that with a controller.

I still don't understand why they cant just have support for a keyboard/mouse configuration for these RTS games on the 360.

If they truly want to sway the PC RTS gamers to use a console they have to realize that we like using a keyboard/mouse to play.

Not to say they haven't made some cool ways to use the controller and many non-pc RTS gamers might feel just fine using a controller.

But there is no need to force real RTS gamers to learn a new... not nearly as fast control scheme for playing on a console.

All it would do is INCREASE sales! Shoulden't they see that as a Win/Win situation?
