hello i found out through wii tracker that my wii was most probably a GC2-D2C. mod chipped.

I was wondering what games i am able to play e.g. PAL, NTSC etc...
and games that i can't.

also the wii tracker said Your Drive Pins are most likely not cut. << what does this mean?

thank you very much

all chips have about the same compatability now days. with the homebrew channel and region changer and all that crap pretty much any game can be played as long as you have a chip.

just disregard the cut pin thing thats only really for cutleg D2B drives and nowdays you can use the D2Pro 9 wire as bypass the cut pins anyway.

You're probably trying to play mostly US games. You have to match your region to get full compatabilty ie japanese games with japanese console, cross region is limited.

Downloading games is illegal, we do not support piracy, this is your only warning.

The warnign was about the talk of "game downloading, illegal software piracy, etc".

BTW, you can get US and Jap games to work on your wii, US and Jap are both NTSC , to make PAL games to work on US, or Jap sometimes is not a good combination.
Also, which chip are you using?

Well, that means is fairly easy to get a chip to work with. Last generation chips plays almost everything, Region override and all, with exception on certain region software that the chip cant override, some rare cases.

I bet people will point a D2pro9 v3, Wasabi v3 or D2Sun . As your Wii is NTSC-J, probably you will be safe playing US and Jap games. Also US and Jap NGC PAL can work, but some games won't.

brickblocker removes updates from the games there is nothing to install,

If your Wii is updated ( let's see ) until 3.3j , the probably you don't need to use the blocker on games from same region, but check for newer games from different regions ( like SSBB ). Is not like you will Brick your Wii, I think it will work most of the times, but with channels duplicated, and things like that. Before you play a gamer from different region, look on the games info if that includes updates of some kind. better to be safe than sorry.
Install the homebrew channel for extra fucntionality too, so you can save your Miis, settigns, etc incase you " OMFG!! I Bricked my Wii!!!" :D

Not quite sure, but maybe you should make a search about custom OS, you know like waninkoko's works, is a bit risky though.

hmm... ok

i was just asking because i wanted to connect my wii to the internet to play online games... would i be required to install any updates to play these games online..

so that i would not install any updates by accident and brick my console.

I don't klnow how online works, not a fan of it, but youc an block any update from disks using a program , patchign the games so they won't update from the wrong region ( like J-Wii updating froma US disc ). I think teh name is soemthign like Wii Brickblocker.
