Ok I got my system from everytenminutes.com and have been playing since last saturday. I got Perfect Dark Zero, Project Gotham Racing 3, and Kameo. Overall I love to see the grpahics project onto my 46" HDTV the pictures are very crispy and vivid. One of the best features is the entire xbox live. They have upgraded this piece of work to even better match up. Chatting while loading up a race, chatting while in carrer mode, chat whenever you please. also the streaming music from the pc whenever you have Windows XP Media Center edition or not. Use Windows Media Connect. Games over time will get better and better. I think XBox 360 Will be a big hit once they get to use everything of the hardware power.

the hardware is really bad.. the PGR3 is freezing and thats pissing me off. Over All I think that MS needed a high disc space.. blu-ray or HD-DVD..the disc spins really loud as soon as you put in an xbox360 games.

Well , i have the 360 , perfect dark and pgr3 , and only perfect dark froze for me , and that was once only. pgr3 as been working fine for me .. i played about 3 hours straight. Perfect dark is very choppy :( but pgr3 is just damn slick. As for the controllers (wireless) that's so nice! Very comfortable and precise. The one drawback is i keep pressing the guide button instead of start , but that's just me ;) Otherwise , i like the dashboard , although it doesn't let you play movie files off DVD disc , only hard drive. It also supports my ipod for music , but it couldn't find my pictures on it, and was bugging when playing music from my ipod .. but i managed to get it working when i was patient enough. These problems might end up being my fault, but otherwise there will be bugfixes in the dashboard for sure. Only one usb port is not enough! and the connector is deep so certain usb drives will not fit. But anyone who can afford it , and find it should go for it!

I think alot of peoples expectations are too high. This is a video game system, not Hollywood where you control actors on the screen. Take for example PGR 3, if you take the time to look at the details of the game, you will feel pretty confident that things are going to be great in the near future. I think its a great game already, but the next one is sure to blow this one away after the developers learn how to maximize the power of the machine. The games on PS2 at launch weren't all that great, in fact, I'm not sure if any of them even utilized the dvd portion of the drive. I think by spring of 06, you will start seeing alot more power out of the machine, just hang in there til then. The games look good now, and xbox live won't be topped.

I got my xbox 360 on launch and i have to say i am really unimpressed. i wasnt expecting that much admittadly, but the graphics are a lot crisper. i would say that it is more of what the xbox should have been, but i havent seen anything that the current gen xbox couldnt have done. i got condemned and perfect dark and have had frequent crashes/freezes in both games. as for condemed, it looks like a polished chronicles of riddick. perfect dark is pretty good, but i cant get past 3rd level. it keeps freezing at the same place. if anybody reading this is considering buying a 360 still, i would at least wait a few months till the next batch of systems come out and the kinks are worked out.
I feel m$ rushed the launch of the xbox360. If they gave dev's more time to develop on the system before rushing it to customers, there might acutally be a game worth playing or even a reason to buy the system. By the time there is one must have game on the 360, ps3 will be out with ten due to sony actually given there dev's time to DEVELOP! That is the key word today DEVELOP, not MARKET!
Now before someone flames me as a sony fanboy or what have you, I did buy the 360. I have bought every console since SNES, so in no way am I humpin sony's leg. I just feel m$ rushed the development of the system itself and all of its launch games, I think this is xbox's downfall.
So in short I feel the 360 is not worth the money you and I have paided for it. There is no game I really want and the games I have (PGR3, PDZ, Quake4) are not keeping me playing for long. I rather play Q4 on my PC.
In closing my ps2 looks like it still has a good year of life in it :D

i have 2 premium 360s...
over all impressions.
this thing fucking rocks.
yes i am a little dissapointed in the games, I have Condemend, PGR3, Call of duty 2, and Perfect dark zero. I will be picking up need for speed today and trading in condemend...beat it already...
Both my 360s have abosultly no problems so i guess i am lucky there.
Now on to the games.
Condemned: Criminal Origins Super Sweet game but for 60$ and beating it in 10 hours not worth it.
PGR3 super sweet.
Perfect dark zero, i am not incrediably to impressed with this one it just missing sumthing. graffx are good and i have no choppiness either. i just can not put the finger on what its missing.
Call of duty 2. Best game i have for the box. This is so far the most grafficaly impressive game on the 360 yet. I have one problem. XBOX LIVE WTF?
no custom games no friend invites...no real way to host i think you can invite friends sumhow me and my little brother will mess around with that more when i am @ home.

i have a premium and it was noob proof, i was up and running pgr3 on xbox live with a wireless adapter in under 2 mintues from unpackaging my 360
its so easy to use and has many great features, i no longer have to rip all my cd's onto my 360 i can just stream them from my computer, into any game that will ever be made for the 360, the high def is amazing crisp clear, on top of the best graphic around its like heaven.
i havnt had one crash and think that those are sayng they have are ps2 fan boys and full of ****.
i have pgr3, perfect dark, kameo, and madden, and all run well over 50fps at all times. the loading time is crazy, i popped in halo 2 and it loaded like nothing else, i could skip the bungie splash screen (which is when its loading the game) and could skip it almost instantly (it wont let you skip the splash screen until its done loading the game) and it looks so much better in high def, the anti-aliasing improves much more then i thought it would
all in all the 360 is and does much more then i thought it would, well worth $400, considering it would cost you $3000 to get a pc to do the same.

I do think M$ did rush on console release, they though doing so will give them a leap over $ony. Well so far it isn't working, games are cool but they just look like xbox games on HDTV, and yes if you DO have an HDTV it looks good. Is clear that the developers needed more time. What I do think M$ have done right from the beginning is XBOX LIVE, you need to pay if you want to change your Nick..Damn! that's marketing. :p
By the way I think NFS: most wanted is a very nice game

are you kidding, they are far from looking like xbox games on HD, just look at the textures themselves, not to mention the amount of pologons its capable of producing has nearly doubled. those 2 things alone have made it far better graphically then the xbox, and yes xbox live is crazy good now, its almsot like everything ties into it, even if you play something solo, itll still have leaderboards i.e. if you play the solo career on pgr3, and your still connected to xbox live, itll still rank your progress with everyone elses on live even though you played a.i. and didnt actually play anyone through live, i was blown away when it did that

I must have gotten
a good box? I got mine at costco in a bundle. Works great, not a problem yet. I read about people having pgr3 issues??? Ive been playing that along with, PDZ, Call of duty 2, and kameo. Not a problem yet, no scratches either and I have been using the console horizontally.
So, maybe Im lucky or what?? But everything works great. I must say that Im impressed...and yes I have and hd plasma 42 inch tv...which makes a HUGE difference. Not like my old xbox, which really does not compare to the 360 in hd quality. I tried my 360 on my other non-hd tv but with component video input (instead of just sv) and it looks good...but nothing compared to hd.
The xbox live service is way better on the 360 too. The menus are great and organized, download game demos rocks! I purchase geometry wars...and great game.
also, im not a microsoft fanboy...I have the psp, nds, ps2, etc....and have owned all the rest at one time or another.
My suggestion, get it! Yes, its a ton of money...but if you got the cash just get one...if you can find one that is.

to everyone saying give the devs more time... you guys must be relatively new to console launches. no launch game ever has shown the true power of any system.
i bought quake 4, perfect dark zero, and kameo. all of which meet or surpass my expectations of a next gen launch game. all are being played on a 150" screen produced by a dlp projector @ 480p. so in all reality it could actually be better...
the xbox could look this good? that just defies logic. anyone who can think knows this is absolutely false. why even try and pass it off as true?
now onto all the really neat features that have nothing to do with graphical prowess...
take some time to really explore the dashboard, there are all kinds of really neat features the xbox didn't have. set the default transmission, camera angle, etc... in racing games anyone?
xbox live arcade, while not for all, is an excellent way to get smaller devs in on the next generation of gaming. not to mention how addicting some of the games are.
the new achievments system adds an entirely new dimension to gaming, by adding new goals to any given game. replay value is instantly increased, and now ya can show off what you've done online...
the amount of personalization could use some tweaking, but it is a large step forward from the original.
overall if you were expecting the 360 to be everything the xbox wasn't and should have been, then you will be satisfied. otherwise wait for a game you want to play to come out... why did those who bought one and are dissapointed buy one in the first place?

u must have an edtv if its not hdtv but still plasma, if thats the case then it will still look good because u should still get 480p, although not the greatest setting its still good enough to see the potential the system has. As to everyone saying stuff about the 360 looking like xbox 1 i gotta ask you, what are you comparing it to, honestly. Not for nothing but if you were to play condemned and compare it to lets say area 51, you can honestly say that they dont differ that much in the graphical department. Now dont get me wrong there not jaw dropping next gen graphics but tell me how long after ps2 did you see its capabilities. The devs are just learning the system and what it can do, i guarantee when ghost recond advanced fighter or gears of war comes out you'll see its next gen.

cool its running on ur 150" dlp projector @ 480p... but it is also running the games @ 30fps which is lame when m$ promised 60fps. so yes again the game dev's did need more time and YES the 360 launch was rushed to "try" and 1up sony. sony on the other hand has already 1up'ed m$ by actually putting true HD capablities in the ps3. ie: 1080pi and blue-ray
anyways i still am not impressed with my 360 and prob will be selling it on ebay for $1000 or so to some dumbass lol

Sony always exaggerates. They are the masters of hype. When the Ps2 was released it was not even close as fast as they said it would be. I for one dont believe a word Sony says until I see what the ps3 can do. We just have to wait and see if Sony can deliver. So far they have shown absolutly no gameplay. Just prerendered movies.

Well the reason you buy the system is because you, as a gamer, are expecting it to be a NextGen console as microsoft stated and should keep me in ooohh!! for about 5 years. Do you think this console is up to that challenge???. To look at some impressive accomplishement take a look at God of War on PS2 which is not as powerfull as the original xbox, it plays at 480p, sweet. now you can see that the xbox with time could still do much much better, Ninja Gaiden, DOA3 are beautifull game.
Now think on this Gran Turismo4 runs at 1080i and the hardware doesn't even have the specs, now that's impressive.
Would I buy the xbox360 console if I had the chance again??? of course I will I'm a gamer. We as gamers just set opinions and comparissons, because we can. Would I recommend anyone to buy it?? if you are a gamer... go buy one now.. if you can get it ...of course :)
